When Harris Reed joined the House of Nina Ricci in 2022, he became the youngest creative director to helm the brand. Reed fused a modern, creative, and ornately feminine aesthetic with the brand’s storied couture roots, and, most importantly, he did so with inclusivity at the forefront of his vision.
The Fall 2026 collection, presented last week at a historic building on Paris’ Left Bank, perfectly encapsulates Reed’s distinct vision for Nina Ricci, and Sorbonne University’s Grand Amphithéâtre was the ideal setting for the collection, which was later announced to be Reed’s last.
For Fall 2026, Reed was inspired by the grandeur and opulence of a baroque court, and nods to the Rococo era are present throughout. Still, Reed seamlessly blends baroque realism with a modern sensibility, all finished with hints of rock-and-roll edge.
Baroque Opulence Meets Modern Edge
Bold floral jacquards gave way to pops of leopard print, classic tailoring with a twist, and hints of chic silk. The collection is fun, but wearable, and styling emphasises the beauty of intricate layering—a corset worn over or under more classic silhouettes, or a simple knit paired with a crinoline skirt.
Flowing silk dresses and skirts feature ruffled trains, while elsewhere, belts mimic the cinched waist of the many corsets shown throughout, emphasizing the waist on silhouettes like a leopard statement jacket and more.
The Standout Accessories and Details from Nina Ricci Fall 2026
Where this collection really shines is in the details, which are ever apparent in backstage images offering a closer look at the pieces. The classic feminine frame bag sees an edgy update, reimagined as a clutch with an oversized kiss-lock detail.
Shown in bold leopard print as well as classic black, it is finished with a long tassel detail, another nod to the collection’s overall themes. Get a closer look below, images courtesy of Nina Ricci.
