Love It or Leave It: Straw Bags and Accessories

The straw trend is back with a vengeance for Spring 2018, but would you rock it?

Last year it became apparent that straw bags were going to be the thing for Spring 2017. As reported, they were EVERYWHERE, but I have to say that I didn’t pay them any mind. I was sure they were going to come and go just like a lot of super-season accessories fads. Well, here I am admitting that I was wrong. Straw bags and other accessories are back with a bang for Spring 2018, but would you wear this trend?

While I’m here admitting that I was wrong when I thought straw bags were last season’s one-and-done trend, I’m still not sure If I would actually rock this trend myself. If someone were to gift me that straw Prada bag above,—which I actually think is kind of adorable—I would probably take it and do a happy dance. However, I just don’t see myself spending my own money on a straw bag. I do however see myself dipping my feet into the straw pond in other ways, like a great wedge sandals or a fun statement earring. Though my fingers are currently frozen as I’m typing this, and it seems as though Spring is nowhere in sight, it will eventually warm up so below I’ve rounded up the latest happenings in the straw department for Spring 2018.
