It’s been over three years since Virgil Abloh was appointed creative director for Louis Vuitton Menswear. Abloh’s direction brought a breath of fresh air to the brand’s menswear, infusing new life into men’s collections. His designs consistently sell out, garnering attention from both men and women. Though his creative vision is more rooted in streetwear than any of his predecessors, his designs have been incredibly well received. Abloh and Louis Vuitton just presented its latest collection, Spring 2022, and it is sure to be as popular as ever with LV and streetwear aficionados around the globe.
The new collection is said to explore and celebrate the diversity of various subcultures that fashion draws upon today. The collection was captured in a new film and features a slew of creative ideas. When it comes to the collection, the pieces were full of bright, bold colors and Abloh left no detail untouched. Bags from the collection included new iterations of fan favorites like a new Soft Trunk in a shiny, glittering Damier, new Vanity Cases and Keepalls, as well as interesting new shapes and silhouettes, including a fish-shaped backpack.
