While gold and rose gold are typically my jewelry colors of choice, silver is my bag color of choice for the metallic family. Silver has become even more of a fashion staple, with brands and editors declaring it one of the hottest colors of the season. However, unlike many trends, a silver bag easily works year-round for a bit of shine.
And now, I’ve found the perfect metallic silver.
No, really, Loewe perfected it.
Loewe released a colorway that adds the right amount of sparkle without being reflective or glossy. The finish is created from silver laminated lambskin leather, which is also super supple. But most important for me is how the color comes to life in the most natural and inviting manner.
The Silver Loewe Puzzle Bag
The Puzzle Bag reshaped the handbag world upon its introduction by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson. Also, talk about a hit – this was Anderson’s debut bag for the brand. The cuboid shape and precise cutting technique create the very distinctive and now recognizable geometric lines.
This small size also offers a removable and adjustable shoulder strap, which allows for over-the-shoulder or crossbody carrying. Depending on the size, you can also remove the strap and carry it by hand, transforming the look and making it an ideal evening carry. The back of the bag cleverly offers a zip pocket, and there is one slip pocket on the inside. Speaking of the interior, the suede lining in a natural tan hue is soft and welcoming.
After attending different events at Art Basel Miami for a few days, I can also attest to the Puzzle being a go-to amongst the artistic set.
This bag feels like an art piece, between the lines with the leather panels and the overall shape. Plus, Loewe releases it in many different colorways and renditions (including multi-color) to make it feel even more art-focused.
There are a few other bags included in this finish, and if you had a silver bag on your wishlist, I would say this deserves a top spot.
