Two summers ago, Simon Porte Jacquemus staged one of the most talked-about fashion shows in recent memory, taking over the Palace of Versailles to present his Le Chouchou collection. The show marked a new era for the brand, cementing Jacquemus’ place in the luxury space—the Palace isn’t available for rent to just anyone.
The Bag That Stole the Spotlight
The collection itself? Perfection, as always, and there was one bag that immediately stood out thanks to its chic factor and undeniable cool-girl vibe—the Jacquemus Le Rond Carré.
The sleek pouch made its debut on the runway that season, appearing in a few colors and two sizes. Inspired by take-out bags—the most chic take-out bags ever—the clutch would quickly prove to be a fan favorite.
True to form, it rolls open to reveal the interior, and the cool mixed-shape hardware on the bag’s sides both acts as a closure and adds a touch of innovation.

The silver iteration was a cult-favorite, truly embodying the definition of one—it sold out almost everywhere. I even stopped by the Jacquemus flagship on Avenue Montaigne later that fall to try to nab one myself, and yes, it was sold out then too.
The Le Rond Carré Still Feels Fresh
The La Pochette Rond Carré has remained a staple in the Jacquemus line-up ever since, and I’m coming back to the cool-girl bag once again. Over the summer, the now-iconic bag was spotted in the arms of The Devil Wears Prada 2’s very own Miranda Priestly—chic!!!
Now, there are more versions than ever to entice! Check out some of my favorites below!

I thought we all agreed that Jacquemus was bad quality? The reviews out there are brutal.
We? Who is this royal we?
I’m not sure about that. I have a medium Chiquito in linen that I brought over 5 years ago and I’ve taken it to Hawaii with me, I’ve used it to go clubbing, and it still looks brand new.
Yes its terrible
That does not look like it would be comfortable to carry. I would expect fingernails to do some damage too.
