Simon Porte Jacquemus and the team at his namesake label sure do know how to put on a show. This season, it all began with a teaser shared on the brand’s Instagram, a swipe through of videos depicting the ease of countryside life.
The collection itself is an ode to Simon Porte Jacquemus’ childhood growing up in the southern French countryside, an homage to his family and the simplicity of country living. The show itself, however, was anything but simple.
In true Jacquemus form, the runway show was a grand production, presented at the Orangery at the Palace of Versailles. The collection was deeply personal and that was felt from the minute a little boy dressed in linen ran barefoot down the entire length of the Orangery to let the models begin their walk.
Le Paysan: Elevated Staples Inspired by Rural Life

Dubbed Le Paysan, or The Peasant in English, the collection offers elevated takes on countryside staples—think light linens, flowy cottons, and headscarves. While Porte Jacquemus was inspired by his humble beginnings, the collection was still as grand and innovative as you’d expect.
Volume and draping defined silhouettes like long skirts layered over tunic tops and tiered dresses. The collection was muted and mostly neutral with pops of color like baby blue, ballet pink and sunny yellow.
A Closer Look at Jacquemus Spring 2026 Runway Bags
The bags too, were right on theme with plenty of woven bags from a beautiful green crochet version of the Le Turismo as well as a brown woven leather iteration.
Models also clutched bags in leather trays depicting a farmer collecting fruit. Orange clutches lined in a row depicting freshly picked oranges and a tray of strawberries offered a playful take on farm life. Elsewhere The Salon Clutch from Spring 2025 returns, alongside a chic new top handle carryall defined by a distinct gold clasp.

I love the crochet bag!
The bags look cool – anyone has experience about the quality?
I love them! I hope Jacquemus keeps its price range
Hell YES on so many of these
The crochet bag is lovely and I can’t wait to see it.
I see you Jacquemus 😍
I don’t care for the dingleberry hanging off the large tote bags.
We’re did he grow up as a child? Inside a j crew window display or something because he lost the blue print after the runway show in the field
