Simon Porte Jacquemus returned to his roots when designing the Spring 2026 collection, which is an homage to his family and the ease of growing up in the countryside of southern France.
The collection, which was presented earlier this year at the Orangery at the Palace of Versailles, was deeply personal, and that was felt from the minute the show opened—with a barefoot little boy running down the runway.
Introducing the Valérie Bag
It’s unsurprising, then, that Jacquemus’ newest bag is a tribute to his mom, named Valérie after his late mother. The bag, which debuted earlier this month, is one of Porte Jacquemus’ best yet—equal parts chic and functional, and its multifaceted appeal is explored in a campaign video starring The White Lotus’ Charlotte Le Bon.
Design Details: Clean Lines and Signature Hardware
The simple, clean lines of the Valérie are defined by distinctive metal donut hardware, which also acts as the bag’s closure. Ladylike and sophisticated, the Valérie is designed for all of life’s moments—elevating even the most mundane tasks.
While it’s designed to be hand-carried with the singular top-handle strap, the Valérie, which debuts in two sizes, also comes with a longer, removable, and adjustable strap.
There is an array of colors to choose from, in both leather and suede, with the small retailing for $1,690 and the classic size retailing for $2,090.
The Valérie is the perfect representation of the Jacquemus DNA—it’s stylish and sleek, but still has the hint of distinctive coolness that is brand-defining. Like past designs, it feels like a new cornerstone design for the brand, and we are obsessed!

$2,000 for a Jacquemus bag is crazy……just a big no
Cute if $200
I don’t find it iconic at all.
I love it! My favorite bag they’ve done yet. It’s also fully leather… finally. It’s a very easy functional design and the hardware is beautiful
Love the bag and the videos made me laugh. I am the girl who walks through the door and gets hooked on the handle. Story of my life!
Savette
Thinking the same. The lock looks like a spit image of the Savette bag
Love this but wayyyy overpriced IMO.
I really like it. Wish they made more colours in the smooth leather. I own a suede Jacquemus Tourismo in suede, and the feel of their suede leaves much to be desired, imo.
