Gucci Ancora is finally here, launching today online and further solidifying the beginning of this new chapter for the House of Gucci.
Though we now have a pretty good idea of what De Sarno’s Gucci looks like following his inaugural runway show and his first campaign, which kicked off 2024, it’s still exciting when the first pieces drop online. Inspired by the idea of falling in love with fashion again, the collection does just that for many.
From RTW wardrobe staples that ooze cool to classic slingback pumps and elevated loungewear, the first online drop from Gucci Ancora is a delight. Of course, the bags are here too; with fun colors and textures on the updated Jackie 1961 to more pieces from the runway, there’s something fresh for everyone.

I am SO UPSET about the new lobster claw clasp. It looks like Rebecca Minkoff, not Gucci. And that shiny, crinkly leather is not it. Why do companies do this? I swear it’s like they’re changing things just for the sake of changing them.
it feels like Hermes verrou bag with the bathroom stall latch. You can find a replacement of these hardwares at the hardware store if yours break.
I don’t get the appeal of the shiny leather either. And I rarely see people actually carrying them, so I don’t think we’re in the minority.
seriously Gucci, did we need a topless model in a panty to introduce a new bag style? Why don’t we do this with mens bags? have nude men parading with their breifcases and man bags? I didn’t want to see anything from this collection after the first image.
Yes, it was disgusting when Tom Ford had nude models showcase his bags a few years ago, too.
Actually love how the nudity in this ad is so simple and unfrivolous. Makes the ad all about the bag rather than bringing in too many textures and layers with clothing.
YES!! I totally agree with you. I love the nudity here as it celebrates a woman’s body. I think the campaign is beautiful.

When I see someone wearing some banal garment with a giant logo plastered on it I just think fashion victim. Luxury goods should actually be luxurious; exceptional fabrics, exquisite design, and flawless execution. This is just sad.

Seriously, you have a multimillion dollar design budget and all you can come up with for a clasp is a cheap looking lobster clasp?? Like are your supply lines cut off so badly you thought people wouldnt notice? Where is the design in that? Gucci usually SCREAMS GUCCI and this SCREAMS WALMART. Dont mind the nude model, it’s not like her nipples are showing in some vulgar way to get attention to the brand. Everything here seems very dated or at least can date very quickly once you drop $3k on it.

I love the little patent burgundy Gucci Bamboo 1947 top handle, it looks adorable! Haven’t been interested in this bag before in other colours but in this colour? Love it.
