Introducing the Salvatore Ferragamo Creations Black Satin Pochette

Naomi Watts carried this beautiful bag and you'll want to also

If there’s one thing that immediately comes to mind when thinking of Ferragamo’s bags, it’s the company’s rich history and the incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship that goes into every design. Unsurprisingly, Ferragamo has tapped into its amazing archives to create a collection titled “Ferragamo’s Creations”. This exclusive collection brings back some of the brand’s most iconic designs. One of the most notable pieces is this stunning black satin pochette, which features a Gancini shaped gold handle. Naomi Watts was spotted carrying this stunning creation at the 2018 Venice Film Festival.

The Gancini may be one of the brand’s most recognizable symbols, often what many people think of when they think Salvatore Ferragamo. The Gancini symbol is rich in history, and was first used back in the 70’s as a clasp on a bag created by Ferragamo’s eldest daughter. Since then, the emblem has been reimagined in many ways, and on everything from handbags and shoes to accessories like belts and small leather goods.

Though the original use of the Gancini dates back over 40 years, the origin of it remains a mystery. Some say the symbol was inspired by the wrought-iron gate of the Palazzo Spini Feroni, which is a building in Florence, Italy that has been home to Ferragamo since 1938. Regardless of its creation, the Gancini emblem rose to fame in the 80’s and is widely recognized as a symbol of impeccable craftsmanship and quality design.

It’s only fitting that this beautiful satin mini bag, which is part of the Ferragamo Creations Collection features an iconic Gancini gold handle etched with the Ferragamo name. Classic in both its design as well as its color this beautiful bag is a true showstopper that any Ferragamo devotee should own. The Salvatore Ferragamo Creations Black Satin Pochette, is available via special order, price available upon request.
