Introducing the Modern and Sporty Dior Vibe Hobo Bag

Dior Vibe fuses House heritage with the world of sportswear

Dior Vibe Hobo Bag Preview

Dior’s transformation in the past years has been what many brands aspire to create. With a heritage brand name, widely recognizable logo, and cornerstone bags, Dior possessed a big part of what is necessary to make a brand resonate with fashion lovers around the globe, but they needed that perfect modern touch. The infusion of newness and innovation from Maria Grazia Chiuri has helped solidify the brand as one of the must-haves in the fashion world, and today Dior released its latest line of bags that is sure to change the bag landscape as well.

First seen as part of the Dior Cruise 2022 show in Athens Greece, Dior Vibe bags fuse Dior heritage with the world of sportswear. This is entirely of the moment, with the continuation of a more casual streetwear-inspired focus on everyday looks trickling into the bag world. The idea behind the line of bags is hybrid creations that reprise sneaker codes, and you’ll find other important House symbols as well. The Christian Dior signature enhances each bag in contrasting colors, which gives that sportswear vibe. The rubber base embossed with stars pays homage to the designer’s lucky charm, and the inspiration of sneaker soles can be found on the classic new bowling bag shape.

I’ll have more to share on the Dior Vibe Bowling Bag soon (I have one of my own!), but today we wanted to introduce the collection with a look at the Dior Vibe Hobo Bag. There are two sizes, medium and small, and each features the iconic Cannage in black or white leather and two shoulder straps that allow for different carrying. A gold-finish metal buckle with the CD initials completes the bag and adds that sporty style along with the Christian Dior name at the base of the bag.

The Cannage exterior is crafted from supple lambskin, and the interior features suede calfskin. There are some really nice smaller details as well, like the military-inspired buckle and the removable and adjustable strap, which allows the bag to be carried by hand, worn on the shoulder, or crossbody to really hone in on that sporty look. The crossbody wear works really well with the style and looks more elevated than the bumbags we’ve seen take hold in the past few years while still providing that very athletic vibe.

The interior of the bag features a flat pocket in both sizes. Dimensions for the small size are 20 x 15 x 7 cm / 8 x 6 x 3 inches while dimensions for the medium size are 29 x 20 x 9 cm / 11.5 x 8 x 3.5 inches. While I know that black will show wear less easily, I am drawn to the white with the gold Christian Dior lettering – it pairs fresh and sporty impeccably well. The price is $3,400 for the small and $3800 for the medium.

Really turned off by how many bags they gifted to influencers. You will see this bag everywhere soon which makes it less luxurious. I also think the shape and logo are not timeless.

Braeden

Agreed.

psny15

Completely agree with you / This bag is so ugly and tacky

Diane

I think it’s quite expensive for something that may not be in production in a few years time.

ROSE

Love this bag, however, I wish it didn’t have Christian Dior plastered at the bottom of it. They could have been more discrete.

Benita

I do think the white with the black accent is the best look for “sporty” but imo the white with gold accent looks Michael Michael Kors- ish, not that that is necessarily a bad thing, but the amount you pay for that vibe. Should have made a nylon option with a thick web strap with the CD branding on the strap but I was not invited to the design meeting 😂

Personally, I think it looks super cheap, and I get the y2k throwback trend, but I think there’s other bags doing it better.

Feels like Dior are following rather than leading here. Don’t think this will last long, doesn’t look worth the price tag at all. Gives high street dupe vibes not designer.

Burger Ana

I think the logo,is too much. Anyone with Dior knowledge would know it’s a Dior, no need for the huge logo. Too expensive.

KatheirneS16

no thanks. YAWN, no design or creativity here

Julia

Yawn, snooze, moving on…

This is so beautiful & sporty – while I wouldn’t carry it myself i find it lovely

Aspen

This is giving “gift with purchase” lol

HelenaWoods

I really like the shape of this bag and the cannage quilting but the giant “Christian Dior” branding at the bottom is totally hideous.

Basak

Cute but too small?
