Launched in the Spring of 2018, the Dior Book Tote quickly became the go-to large carryall of the fashion world. Its popularity knows no bounds, and it has been reimagined in countless ways. There’s a Dior Book Tote for all, from new colors and patterns to various sizes and materials.
The Book Tote is a quintessential embodiment of the spirit of Dior; its shape is instantly recognizable by its architectural silhouette. Forever the perfect canvas for reinvention, for Cruise 2024, Maria Grazia Chiuri reimagines the iconic Book Tote once again, this time in stunning macrocannage leather.
A reinterpretation of Dior’s classic cannage, macrocannage features the graphic lines and shapes we all know and love but magnified, offering a fun take on a classic pattern.

Book Tote-Making History
To top it off, for the first time, the latest version of the Book Tote is finished with the brand’s storied D.I.O.R charms. The charms are an ode to the House’s founder, Christian Dior, who loved carrying charms.
Offered in either black or white leather in three sizes—small, medium, and large, each version features a longer strap for maximum functionality. Inside are zippered and patch pockets, which are ideal for organization, especially in the larger size.
Prices start at $3,600 for the small. Discover more below.

Finally a book tote that doesn’t look like a billboard. Love it!
The book tote always looked a bit cheap and flimsy to me but perhaps this one! I need to see it IRL.
Checked it out on the Dior site and the small is perfect. The size is perfect, cross body strap! Love it really, it’s been a while since a new bag has given me that feeling, you know that feeling!
I need to feel that feeling lol need to also see IRL
I wonder if the sharp corners will wear quickly like the Chanel boy bag?
My GST’s corners are all worn out, but I never liked the look of a pristine bag, so I love it.
Good point, yes i imagine so. Most hard cornered bags tend to show their wear there. Nature of the beast
I bought the medium & love it
Is it heavy?
Thats exactly what I wondered. I saw a cassie thorpe review on her leather Dior book tote a few years ago and she mentioned how heavy it was being leather
I’ve never liked the fabric book tote, but the leather iteration on the other hand, is LOVE.
Macrocannage Magic: Dior’s Book Tote Gets Bold & Beloved
Chic cannage, amplified! The iconic tote reimagines its signature pattern, adding the first-ever D.I.O.R charms for a timeless treasure.
I don’t like it in these pictures so I need to see it in person. It looks stiff and hard like a leather covered board.
Heavy?! 🤔
Got the medium one NOT heavy. Lot of space ❤️
This is such a beautiful bag. Curious to see it IRL
Always love the cannage pattern, it’s recognizable and yet subdue without any loud explicit boring brand logo or letters. The little bit of puff and sponge is not clunky in appearance and comforting to touch. I can’t explain why I love the aesthetic of overlaying geometry of diamonds and squares. The pattern is not anything new, but you could slap it on any fabric (esp leather) in any shape of bags and I would buy it. While dior quality may not the most rugged but at least it will last a decade or two in decent condition.
