The arrivals for Super Bowl LIX are my actual Super Bowl, meaning that is my biggest moment. I don’t have a personal affinity for either team or the NFL in general, so the outfits, more specifically bags, being carried to arrivals is what lures me in. Each team’s social media accounts were busy uploading what the players of the Chiefs and Eagles were wearing as they arrived at the stadium, and one bag stood out the most.
You would assume it was a Hermés or a Louis Vuitton bag, but it was a Coach bag carried by none other than Jalen Hurts, the Super Bowl Champion and MVP.

The Coach Empire Carryall is the viral bag that continues to sell out for the brand. The size 48, the largest size, is what Jalen Hurts carried to the big game, and upon first glance, I thought it was The Row. I think this is a large part of the allure of the bag. It was released as the Margaux continued to be one of the most sought-after shapes but comes in under $900 for every single size.
Jalen Hurts’ purple suit made a statement, which, as the game continued, proved to be one of winning. His bag is soft, luxe, and attention-grabbing. This was a big moment for Coach and for so many of us, for whom Coach was our first foray into the world of bags. It felt very special.
