One of the core pillars of the Coach brand is its commitment to reducing waste and finding new ways to upcycle. It’s not performative for the brand; it it integral. We’ve seen this with Coachtopia and Coach Re(Loved), and now Coach has launched the Coach Repurposed Capsule.
This new capsule features a few handbags and ready-to-wear items crafted from post-consumer denim purchased from vintage and secondhand stores. This further solidifies Coach’s position at the forefront of circular design, finding new and innovative ways to remain true to the brand and style while considering the environmental impact.
The bags include two variations of the coveted Coach Tabby (a few others are available, but they are either sold out or not on site), both with quilted patchwork repurposed denim that has been distressed and treated to achieve a worn-in look. The Tabby is one of Coach’s standout designs, a true cornerstone of the brand, and a personal favorite.
Then there is the denim, naturally, including jeans, a skirt, and a denim shirt. While this is a far more straightforward use of repurposed denim, each article is given Coach’s touch and will be completely one-of-a-kind. There’s also a Cotton Trench Coat that utilizes repurposed cotton chino pants.
Pricing for the collection ranges from $350 – $795. The collection is now available in Coach stores worldwide and on Coach.com.

The jacket and jeans are ok, but the bags? Sorry but they really look like a DIY project.
I really like the trench but I am not paying $800 for a coat that already shows that much wear. Sheesh.
