The Fall 2026 season has been an incredibly exciting one for the fashion set. While Spring 2026 saw big designer debuts from some of the biggest luxury players, the Fall 2026 season has seen these newbies find their groove.

At Celine, that sentiment is incredibly true: Michael Rider debuted his third collection for the House over the weekend in Paris, proving that French simplicity doesn’t have to be boring and that elegance doesn’t have to be loud—a quiet confidence is always in style.

Quiet Confidence Defines Fall 2026

While last season Rider aimed to have the collection continue his first, this season he looked to further develop his vision for Celine. At first glance, the collection feels inherent to the new House codes and DNA that Rider has explored the last two seasons—French Americana with a modern feel.

Still, there is a feeling of freshness, and the message that Rider’s Celine will be multifaceted, not one-dimensional. Past collections played on the idea of prep, but Winter 2026 leans more tailored and polished, with a twist. Silhouettes are slimmer and cut closer to the body, but one thing that remains is the emphasis on layering—but it is done in a way that feels clean and not overdone.

Sharper Tailoring and Elevated Layering

There is also an emphasis on outerwear in many forms—from buttery-soft leather trenches to sleekly tailored wool coats. The idea of the statement jacket, which we’ve seen many times this season, is played upon by Rider as well in the form of bold animal print or an ankle-length purple leather trench.

Accessories have been an integral part of Rider’s design process for the last two seasons, and this season, you’ll find the emphasis turn from statement belts and scarves to cleaner, more refined belts, while jewelry is intricate and bold. Smart hats, too, play on the collection’s idea of quiet confidence.

Triomphe Evolves for Fall 2026

When it came to the handbags, this collection is a bag lover’s dream! The iconic Triomphe logo is here to stay, and this season, it’s given a soft spin with the introduction of the new Little Half Moon Soft Triomphe, which is a continuation from Michael Rider’s debut. Another exciting Triomphe style is the Small Triomphe Frame, which juxtaposes soft slouchy fabric with the feminine finish of a frame bag.

Elsewhere, the Triomphe logo clasp is reinvented on a chic new top-handle bag that breathes new life into the storied logo. The bag was shown on the runway, worn open, mirroring the sophisticated ease of this collection. With the bag’s flap tucked inside the top zip, a shadow of the classic Triomphe logo is revealed.

Elsewhere, a Celine staple, the 16 bag, sees a reinvigoration in an on-trend east/west top-handle silhouette, which pops in bold red. Rider’s take on the legendary Celine Trio—the Trio Flap—pops in both bicolor versions and softer hues with bold interiors. View bags from the runway below.
