At Work and at Play, Naomi Watts Likes Her Designer Bags Compact and Neutral

She doesn't go too flashy or too big, but her bags are definitely all super spendy

With some celebrities, personal style feels forced or, at the very least, largely the creation of a stylist. With actress Naomi Watts, that’s never been the case—her red carpet style has just enough idiosyncrasy to suggest a significant personal opinion on aesthetics, but she’s not the kind of person who looks like a stylist picked out her outfits when she’s, say, walking her kids to school. She can turn it up and turn it down, which is how most women interact with fashion.

That impulse extends to her bags, which are generally quite luxurious while maintaining a sense of function and subtlety. In the context of celebrity, that can read a little boring to people who are used to looking at women with a fantasy bag wardrobe, but it me, it just feels relatable. Check out some of Naomi’s recent favorites below.

The Trio Bag typifies what Naomi likes to carry in her personal time: simple, functional, hands-free and big enough to fit her essentials without being bulky. We caught her carrying it frequently.

Like so many NYC residents, Naomi often defaults to black, but when the weather is nice, she can lighten up, too.

Fendi Kan I F Bag

Even when Naomi glams up for press appearances, her bag choices remain reliable.

Givenchy Mini Pandora Bag

Before the Trio, this Givenchy mini was Naomi’s weekend favorite.

Stella McCartney Stella Star Bag
$895 via Neiman Marcus

This exact version of this bag isn’t available to shoppers yet; there are some perks to being famous.

Tod’s Bauletto Micro Studded Bag
$1,265 via Net-a-Porter

I like this little bag quite a lot, and I’ve always been surprised it wasn’t more popular.
