Celebs Showcase Guccis and Saint Laurents Old and New

As well as a few of the most popular bags of 2019

We’re only half way through the year, but I’m already making a short list of 2019’s most popular bags with celebs. As you explore the bags featured in this post, you’ll probably be able to guess which bags are on that list, and I think we’re all starting to get a sense of what bags from this season will achieve similar status in a few months’ time. All that being said, some celebs eschewed 2019’s offerings altogether this week, and raided their closets for classic designer styles of yesteryear.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff was spotted carrying a new Gucci Zumi Bag while enjoying a sunny day in LA with partner Matthew Koma. Get a closer look at the Gucci Zumi here.

Bella Thorne

Here’s Bella Thorne, wielding a tiny blue Jacquemus Le Chiquito Mini Top Handle Bag on the streets of Manhattan. As you’ve probably heard, Bella is in the news this week for releasing her own nudes before blackmailing hackers did. I mention this just in case you feel like your life has gotten too complicated recently.

Bella Hadid

Here’s Bella Hadid, breezing through JFK with a customized Dior Book Tote. We didn’t know this bag was customizable, but I’m guessing it’s only customizable for Dior’s most lucrative celeb faces. But if anyone at Dior is listening…my name is Emily.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss was spotted running around in NYC with what I believe to be vintage Yves Saint Laurent. However, it looks suspiciously like the new Saint Laurent Niki Bag, which does come in a variety of vintage crinkled leather finishes.

Lucy Hale

Finally, here’s Lucy Hale, carrying an older iteration of the Gucci Camera Bag around at the farmers market in LA.

Anyone know what sunglasses Kate Moss has on?

Rosa Lily

Bella’s bag is as tiny as her brain. The more I see the Frames Les Second Tote the more I like it.

Kenzie

She looks like she’s trying to be Bella Hadid.

Anyone can customize the Book Tote. I’ve seen a lot of YouTubers (very small ones) with names or initials on them. It’s called ABCDior.

I wonder if Kate Moss realizes that she still has the protective sticker on her bag. Her bag can be found in stores. Saw one in Saks on yesterday.

Jaime

The book tote is not available for personalization at this time. Only the Saddle bag and jewelry.

FashionableLena

I was referring to what she wrote about having celebrity status in order to get it customized. You don’t need to be a celebrity to get customization. It’s offered to anyone that’s willing to pay for it.

Robin

I read somewhere it was, and in January saw a woman carrying one (with presumably her old one in the Dior box in the Dior shopping bag) on a flight home to USA from Dubai. Hers was customized with her name.

Jaime

I looked online today and then chatted with customer service. I got a firm no. Maybe it was for a limited time when the bags first came out. I was going to personalize one today. 🙂

JT

It’s definitely customisable. It’s just a matter of when and where.

For example, New York had the service from 4 to 13 December 2018, while the service was also concurrently offered in Dior’s 30 Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris from 5 to 20 December 2018. It was also available in various cities such as Tokyo, Nagoya and Seoul. Cost is approximately USD230. Each bag takes between 24 to 48 hours to complete.

I understand the service will continue to make its rounds with subsequent stops including Singapore in summer 2019.

Am I in the minority that I keep my protective stickers on as well? I don’t feel the need to remove them in order for the hardware to get scratched.

FashionableLena

I don’t keep on the protective stickers as sometimes the residue tarnished the hardware.

JH

I keep mine on until they fall off unless they are on the outside of the bag.

Pegz

Did you like the bag? Thanks! =)

FashionableLena

I loved the bag. It has a classic shape and silhouette. The hardware and crinkled leather give it an edgy vibe. I like small bags so I could fit everything I wanted. If you need something bigger, it comes in larger sizes.

JH

You guys need to up your definition of a celebrity. I have to spend too much time Googling to figure out who some of these people are. And some of them need to lay off the fillers for a minute or two.
I think an organization called purseblog.com should know that the Dior book tote is customizable.

Yoshi1296

It isn’t. The service was exclusice supposedly. I was told “no” to customization. I decided against buying the bag eventually.

Bice

Kate’s bag is the YSL Nikki bag in the medium size! I work in a luxury department store so I see this bag everyday!

Sabine Müller

Now I want a Niki…help! 😀

Marie-Caroline Gmrd

Kate Moss’ bag is the Nikki by YSL 🙂
