Valentino, Gucci, & Hermès & Chloé Bags were Big with Celebs This Week

A certain new style from Valentino is still cresting on its wave of recent popularity, and a few celebs continue to surprise us with their unexpected bag choices. In other news, Lady Gaga wore an outfit in public that was really only a LITTLE weird, and a few celebs accessorized their Halloween costumes with high-end handbags, of course. (Ok fine, it was just EJ Johnson. EJ Johnson will not leave home without a little designer something, even on Halloween.)

EJ Johnson didn’t let his bag game decline during Halloween festivities. Here he is at one of at least three Halloween parties he attended with a little quilted black leather Chanel Backpack. I’m pretty certain his costume is “Beyoncé.”

And here he is at Halloween party #2, dressed as Christina Aguilera from the “Lady Marmalade” video. (Source: EJ’s Instagram.) This time, he’s accessorized his costume with a glittery red Valentino.

Elle Fanning
Gucci Dionysus Blooms Bag
$2,490 via Gucci

In post-Halloween news, Elle Fanning was recently spotted leaving Barneys in Beverly Hills with a colorful floral Gucci Dionysus Blooms Bag. This is an interesting choice for Elle, as it’s a lot more detailed than the bags she usually prefers. You can view more of her favorite bags in The Many Bags of Dakota and Elle Fanning.

Gigi Hadid
Elizabeth and James Scott Duffel
$346 via Shopbop

If this week has taught me anything, it’s that the key to high-end casual glamour is EXCESSIVELY reflective mirrored designer shades. Keira Knightley had an excellent pair in our last round-up, and here’s Gigi Hadid with her own pair of mirrored aviators. Her textured black leather Elizabeth and James Scott Duffel is nice too, but let’s be honest: it’d be more interesting if it were mirrored.

Kate Beckinsale
Chloé Faye Bag
$1,950 via Barneys

Paps snapped Kate Beckinsale traipsing through Heathrow Airport with a new black leather Chloé Faye, which is extremely in line with Kate’s personal (super sophisticated Brit) style. Strangely enough, this is actually the first Chloé bag we’ve ever seen her carry, which is interesting, because The Many Bags of Kate Beckinsale includes a wide diversity of designers.

Lady Gaga
Valentino My Rockstud Top Handle Bag
$3,545 via Nordstrom

Here’s Lady Gaga, exiting her apartment in NYC in an eclectic black and white ensemble that includes a new striped Valentino My Rockstud. I don’t even know how to address her sunglasses, but I doubt they’ll be catching on any time soon, so we’ll just move right along.

Nicky Hilton
Hermès Birkin

Does it seem odd that the Hilton family doesn’t have their own small fleet of nail technicians on staff? It does to me. Here’s Nicky, hanging out at a nail salon in Beverly Hills with her mom. She’s carrying a classic brown leather Birkin.

Victoria Silvstedt
Hermès Birkin

And here’s Swedish celeb-of-all-trades Victoria Silvstedt, loitering outside a Rolex boutique in Milan (as one does) with a snazzy purple Birkin that looks quite lovely with her scarf and lipstick. Kudos, Victoria.
