Fresh off Met Gala Monday, stars headed to Cannes, France, for the Cannes Film Festival. Once again, we’re here to remind you that anybody who is anybody is in France right now for the 79th edition of the international film festival, which runs through May 23.
While there is a seemingly never-ending lineup of premieres and events to attend, Cannes feels like one big fashion show. The outfits truly never disappoint, whether a star is walking the red carpet or strutting around town for lunch and shopping.
Bella Hadid Does Cannes the Vintage Way
We’ll be back with a full roundup of bags post–film festival, but for now, we owe a major round of applause to Ms. Bella Hadid herself, who just unofficially won Cannes wearing archival Marc Jacobs–era Louis Vuitton and vintage Prada—of course.
Let’s take a look!

Die-hard Louis Vuitton fans and eagle-eyed fashion nerds alike (raises hand) immediately clocked Hadid’s icy blue silk zip-front dress as archival LV from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2003 collection by Marc Jacobs.
The Prada Sport Bag That Completed the Look
The collection, which was boldly colored and largely inspired by the ’50s and ’60s, featured a pastel-hued rainbow of belted satin dresses with cutesy Peter Pan collars. It was also the collection that introduced Takashi Murakami’s multicolored monogram to the world—a detail Hadid subtly referenced with her shoes.
While Hadid could have easily paired the look with the expected LV x TM bag, she instead opted for a vintage Prada Sport canvas bag, which feels very in line with her personal style.

The dress reminds me of a waitress uniform from days gone by!
Yes, it truly looks like that.
