There’s nothing better than kicking off a new season with new pieces for my wardrobe. With a vibrant cobalt bag and the perfect metallic-denim pumps, my new accessory duo makes for a perfect pair. I’ve long talked about my love for Bottega Veneta and how close I feel towards the brand. I’ve visited the company’s offices in Milan and watched their artisans work, which was mesmerizing and inspiring, and I’ve continued to follow the brand through its major initiatives over the years. You all know I’m a bag girl, but I don’t mind a nice pair of shoes, either, and this Manolo Blahnik BB Pump is one of the most iconic designs around.
I don’t love an overly match-y shoe and bag combination, but I do love two items that complement each other. I picked this bag and these shoes because the chain shoulder strap plays perfectly off the metallic denim on the shoes. Easy to dress up or dress down, this bag and shoe combo makes for a perfect pair.
Bottega Veneta Olimpia Mini Intrecciato Crossbody Bag
$2,030 via Neiman Marcus
Prepare to see a lot of this bag from me. It’s one of those love-at-first-sight kinds of bags, that when it arrived, I smitten. There’s a long shoulder strap that allows for cross-body wear, and the interior has three compartments: two large areas and one smaller middle slide pocket, which fits my cell phone perfectly. You all have heard time and again about how much I love a compact crossbody bag with interior separation, and this bag has it.
True to Bottega Veneta’s roots, the exterior features intrecciato woven lambskin leather, which is durable yet so soft you’ll have a hard time keeping your hands off it. I love how the exterior has a large flap top with a snap closure, which is easy to use. The interior is lined in suede, and the overall dimensions are 5.9″H x 8.7″W x 3.2″D. This bag is about to become a new staple in my collection, so prepare to see a lot of it. Buy via Neiman Marcus for $2,030.
Manolo Blahnik BB Metallic-Denim 105mm Pump
$695 via Neiman Marcus
The Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps are arguably the most iconic shoe from the brand, and I have yet to own a pair until now. I grew up in Florida and spent most of my days in flip flops, which is why I’m still a sandal girl. But there came a point when I needed my shoe collection to grow up, even if I’m not a person who wears closed-toed heels easily.
However, I’m here to report that, as far as pointy-toed heels go, the Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps are probably the most comfortable I’ve ever put on. In fact, I can walk in them, multiple steps. The 4.3″ covered heel doesn’t feel quite as tall as I imagined, and I opted for the metallic denim in blue-bronze because it suits my laid-back style. If you want a bit more of a casual pair of pumps that will match with everything, choose these. Buy via Neiman Marcus for $695.[Bag and shoes gifted by Neiman Marcus]
