MCM Debuts 3 Unisex Fragrances

Many of our favorite designers offer more than just bags, with ready-to-wear, shoes, and beauty being a large part of their collections as well. While MCM is well known for its luxury leather goods and accessories, the brand recently launched its first limited edition fragrance collection. We were one of the first to take a look (and smell) at the newly introduced trio and I’m happy to share a bit more about it.

The MCM Infinite Collection is a collaboration with world-renowned Takasago perfumer Jerôme di Marino. Each scent is unisex and features different blends to create really beautiful notes. The three fragrances are White Tea, Orris and Incense and MCM decided on these scents based on the diversity of the brand’s Nomadic DNA, taking references from different places around the world.

Each scent is accompanied by a travel pochette, designed to match the brand’s aesthetic. The bottle’s magnetic closure tightly secures the cap in place to prevent leaks while traveling.

The scents are different and fresh – my favorite being Incense, a floral-spice blend with top notes of lemon and grapefruit that manages not to be overly sweet. Vlad likes White Tea, which has a bit more of a masculine and strong feel to me, with its mixture of herbals, florals, and woods. Orris is reminiscent of the Mediterranean with top notes of Green Mandarin, Green Italy and Pepper Mint.

Truth is the easiest way to know if you like a scent is to try it for yourself. I know perfumes smell different on everyone and while I don’t wear perfume daily, I have about 5 scents that I rotate between when I feel like wearing it.

You can find any of the scents at Neiman Marcus for $130 each.
