A couple of weeks ago, art and fashion lovers from around the globe flocked to Miami for Art Basel. This year, Art Basel was back – with events allowing gatherings reminiscent of years past and late-night parties from South Beach to the Design District and beyond. South Florida is our home now, and when I tell you that the bags are always good down here, I mean really good. There isn’t a day that I am out that I am not lusting after a bag I spot on someone’s arm, and Art Basel week was no different, with everyone bringing their A-bag-game.

Look 1

There was a good amount of variety in brands, but we did see a few stunning Hermès bags being carried.

Red bags were a big theme, which we saw all over NYC this summer and fall as well, and I am oddly fond of this shearling Jodie from Bottega Veneta.

Valeria Lipovetsky, who was gracious and kind, stopped to pose for a picture for us in a full Ferragamo look. I really liked seeing a new bag from the brand; it’s understated but quite nice.

The little black classic bag is always a must, and we saw plenty of gals (and guys) carrying their own reach-and-go bags.

Daniel Lee’s Bottega Veneta will be remembered for many things, and a major one will be this shade of green that became Bottega green.

Beautiful photos and people! I especially love the dressy men and extremely stylish older women who aren’t often represented in street style features.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who intentionally goes places in hopes of “sightings in the wild”. I know many would think it strange, but to me it’s harmless fun. My sighting grounds are somewhat limited where I live, so I love features like this.

With a few exceptions, this is proof that a great bag cannot rescue a tacky outfit 😊

Lovely bags and I’m so glad I didn’t get the Bottega green padded cassette, it looks so dated already

Look #21 Unfortunately the Dior Tote Bag is a copy of the authentic one. The font and the stitching in the corners are a huge miss.

Beautiful photos…confused about the bag in look 26. But still my favorite bags in the wild segment.

How much did Valeria Lipovetsky pay to be featured 😂

Not a cent. Megs and I were sitting at OTL for a breakfast meeting and she walked by us. I approached her and asked to take her picture, not knowing who she was. =)

I hope the women in the white romper sees this and notes the rear view not so great in that outfit ☺️

I love Look #22 from head to toe, and I abhor the Chanel 19. To my eye, her dress looks red and her bag and shoes are obviously pink, but the colors work beautifully together. She looks polished and practical–quite a high bar in the current fashion landscape.

Love the bright Louis Vuitton shoes.

I’m not a fan of Chanel, but the bag in look 13 is very cool.

Look 28 is the Marcell Von Berlin LA Bag. Just saw a post from Niecey Nash with the brand the other day and immediate recognized the logo / quilted logo!

I like the pink Ferragamo the best by far.

Is anyone able to identify the bag in look 29?
