A new era for the storied Roman luxury House Bvlgari has begun.
Last night, press and friends of the House gathered alongside designer Mary Katrantzou to celebrate her first collection as Creative Director of leather goods and accessories.
The intimate dinner, hosted at New York’s stunning Brasserie Fouquet’s, mimicked the collection’s roots, inspired by Bvlgari’s Roman origins. Bringing the room to life, a long table lined with white taper candles was adorned with lush florals in gold vases. Guests mingled, chatted, and toasted the new Calla Collection, which was present throughout the room.
Guests carried a range of bags from the new collection, all styled in a myriad of ways and fusing life into the collection. The designer expressed to guests what a joy it was to see the bags worn and carried in real life after spending so much time designing them.

Roman Heritage Meets Modern Elegance
The new collection sees a range of bags from fresh takes on classic shapes to new bags like the Serpentine Duo Top Handle in distinct Calla Matelassé. The Calla pattern was one of Mary’s first creative projects, inspired by the mosaics of Ancient Rome’s Terme di Caracalla.
The collection’s bags combine the House’s roots with a contemporary allure, each a true show-stopping work of art. Bvlgari’s bags continue to garner attention thanks to their unmatched attention to detail and unique design appeal. As the brand celebrates its next chapter, that attention continues to grow.
Best of Bvlgari

Love this. Now the Serpentine Sugarloaf and Serpentine Duo are officially on my radar.
These are fabulous evening or special occasion bags, but still on the small side. For something sophisticated but still good for everyday use, I’m really drawn to the Roma bag (the larger version).
In person they are even better. The Serpentine Duo is like jewelry plus a bag – those handles!!!
The duo reminds me a lot of the Dior Lady bag but blinged out. Love the handles.
One of these days I’ll get a BVLGARI Serpenti… I keep snakes and raise reptiles and have been dying to get one. It makes me so happy that they’re not abandoning the snake theme.
This is quite creative and attractive ❤️
