Before we dive head first into 2023 and all of the new handbag trends that will inevitably come with a new year, we’ve got the last set of Bags in the Wild from 2022 for you. We spent some time during the holiday season in Atlanta to see what handbag lovers carried IRL as they shopped, ate, drank, and were merry! Today’s bunch brings a variety of bags, including lots of Chanel, a bit of Hermès, and more coming in hot from down south. If you’re looking for some outfit inspo, we’ve got a little bit of that for you today too.
I’m not sure about you, but suddenly I need to get my hands on a pair of hot pink pants. Check out a new crop of bags below, and let us know what cities you’d like us to visit this year!
Chanel, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, oh my!

This is ATL. It would have been nice to see more people of color featured. We’re out here with our designer swag!
I was coming to say the same thing.
Just a fluke. Search Atlanta and look at the previous posts.
Love the Yorkie in the Birkin. I hope it’s toilet trained!
my thought exactly!
lol!
The first 2 Chanel bags are fakes…
I thought something was off on that flap bag!
not an expert, but I thought the classic flap was fake too. The turnlock flap is edge stitched, but the rest of the flap isn’t. Lambskin flaps (usually) don’t have any edge stitching. Some vintage flaps have it, but those go all the way around the flap, not just the small bit around the turnlock
Oooooh… how do you know? Do tell us your ways!
The flap: Only the clasp part is stitched, the leather in the chain is too thin, quilts are the wrong shape, stitching looks shoddy
The boy: quilts are the wrong shape, the C’s are shaped differently, the button in the middle of the C’s is wrong, the chain is smaller/flimsier
I typed this too fast, by clasp I meant the turn lock and by button I just meant the part that sticks up through the closure
Also the stitching on the boy corners should make right angles and not be curved, and usually the metal plate extends onto the quilted part
Thank you for your service! We bow down. 🙂
(Flap and boy I mean, not the backpack in the header)
That’s a pretty bold statement since you are looking at one photo. How do you know?
Just compare both pictures to pictures of the authentic versions and you’ll see how obvious it is
I think that’s a good shout Bea I agree with the elongation of the diamonds on the classic and the stitching…. Something just not right either about the boy bag but I’m not sure if it’s an older version I would need to look at it closer on fashionphile . Good call 👏 I’m a newbie here but very impressed so felt I had to write something.
I’m looking and would like to know what you see that is “off”?
In addition to all of the reasons stated above, you can really tell just by looking at the quilts. They are too vertically elongated and stretched out compared to the authentic quilts which look more square than these do
Hmmmm, not too sure I agree but thanks for the input.
Love the lady in the velvet outfit & Goyard bag. The look is very boho cool.
I’m not a fan of the Picotin, but I could go for the one pictured. It’s really cool.
That boy bag is a terrible fake. It has a turn lock?! Lmao
The mini kelly looks a bit way too tiny (disproportionate) for her size and outfit.
A little disappointed you all at Purseblog couldn’t tell the Chanel flap and Boy are fakes. What jumped out at me, immediately, was the stitching at the corners of the Boy bag. The stitching is supposed to be at sharp 90 degree angles, not rounded; the clasp is terrible, as well as the shape of the diamonds.
As someone else mentioned, it was also disappointing there were no people of color, in your photos, when these are taken in Atlanta. (sigh) Do better, Purseblog.
I love the green sweater with pink flowers. Anyone know the designer?

Amazing tips to become a reputed blogger. I agree, creating evergreen content with consistency is quite necessary.
