We’re back uptown today to bring you more street-style bags from Manhattan’s Upper East Side. No matter the temps, the bag heat is always on in the UES. The pretty, posh neighborhood is home to some of New York’s best bag collectors. The charming city blocks surrounding Central Park make the perfect runway for native New Yorkers and tourists alike. This fall, as the temps dropped and the calendar crawled closer to winter, we spent an afternoon strolling the Upper East Side to see what New Yorkers were carrying as they headed to lunch, dipped in and out of designer boutiques, and ran errands as the holidays ramped up. There was a plethora of Chanel, classic Hermès (of course), some Celine, and so much more.
Spoiler alert: we weren’t disappointed, and we don’t think you will be either! Take a look below at the many street style bags we spotted in NYC’s Upper East Side!
Bags in the Wild Fresh from the Upper BEST Side

Lmao. Their faces when they see they’re being photographed. I hope they get told what it’s for after the photo. NYC is FULL of crazies right now and you can never be too careful. I’d flip out if I caught someone taking a picture of me.
I’ve had my picture taken by a guy with a pap type camera in nyc while walking mid-town and it was a little disconcerting but I kept walking. I have always wondered if my picture was published somewhere lol. Hopefully not as part of a worst dressed feature or what not to wear.
I took this set last month in NYC. While I don’t need permission to photograph strangers in the street, I may sometimes ask, other times I snap without the person’s knowledge, and sometimes the subject notices. I usually either just smile or say ‘thank you’. I have yet to encounter anyone angry or confrontational in my years of shooting street style.
No, it’s the other way around. I don’t necessarily fear for your safety as much as theirs. Plus, most of your subjects are women. And yes I know you don’t need permission to photograph people in the street.
Exactly! I wonder if they have to ask permission to publish?
I don’t care if it’s “out of style”, I love the Valentino bags. The rock studies get me every time. The Versace Medusa bag is gaudy, and I LOVE it!
Rockstud bags clearly aren’t out of style as Valentino keeps making them and people keep buying them. And then Valentino makes some more with a new twist.
I do too …love the studs.
The Medusa is from the Fendace collab (as is her coat)! Loved that collection so much. The sky blue version of that Medusa was gorgeous, too.
Oohhh yes!!! Beautiful!! I always love studded bags too somehow it always catches my eye my collection needs a black bag with studs
The woman carrying the SL iCare Maxi Tote has gone a bit overboard on obviously visible logos — Hermes scarf, Prada Sox, and that bag. Also, I can’t understand carrying around a bag that big unless I’ve heading to a sleepover at my BFF’s house. And the woman with the Versace bag — is that a target on her Fendi coat? Seems a weird (and huge) placement.
Did like the Roman Stud bag a lot. It’s on my list.
The jacket is from the Fendace (Fendi X Versace)Collection, its a Medusa head lol
❤️❤️❤️❤️ these posts are my favorite
Upper Best Side is NOT the upper east side lol, i mean c’mon… upper west side is really the best part of manhattan
i bought my Chanel bag this year and am afraid to bust it out..but after seeing these pictures, it’s coming out of my closet tonight and I am wearing it starting tomorrow. it’s like these pictures have given me permission or something. And they don’t look like they are afraid of being bag-jacked at all. Yay.
what’s the point of bying and owning a bag if you are afraid to carry it around? just wondering….
I love 🗽
Just amazes me with how hard Kellys and Birkins are to get how many you see on everyone now. Love these posts.
