This past weekend was gorgeous here in San Diego. It was wonderful to get out and spend some time with friends. It’s always fun when I meet someone who is as obsessed with handbags as we are here at Team PurseBlog. When I get a chance to talk about what I do, what I love, I enjoy it thoroughly. Luckily, this exact situation came up this weekend. I was asked what is hot right now, and as you might be able to guess, one of the first things I mentioned was bucket bags. I am becoming more interested in this trend with each passing minute. So, I was a happy camper when I came across this fabulous Badgley Mischka creation. (more…)
I’m beginning to sound like a broken record player, so forgive me. But, crossbody and bucket bags are all the rage this season as well as seasons to come. So, it is no surprise that I have yet another crossbody bag to share with you. I don’t know about you, but there is something about a simplistic bag that makes me so happy. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love a great eccentric bag as much as the next person, but there are days when I want a great bag without a lot of fuss. Thankfully, Treesje is a brand that continues to bring me bags I cannot get enough of. (more…)
This is cute. And you know what? I like cute. It’s a funny day because when I think about my taste in handbags I realize that I am all over the place. Some days I complain about a certain thing and other days I say I like that. I guess my mood is one that changes on a whim. But, hey, that’s actually fine by me. I feel like if I came across this Cole Haan Halsey Straw Clutch on a different day, I might not like it. However, today, well, today I like it. (more…)

As soon as I saw this Valentino Raised-Rose Tote I knew I had to write about it. I mean, look at it! It is such a statement piece. Typically I consider evening bags to be more “statement piece-y” than larger bags. But this time, let’s call a spade a spade and agree that it is a statement piece. If you reach into your closet and come out with this bag as the one you are going to carry, you know you are making a statement – a fashionable statement. (more…)
It is no shock that I’m a Rebecca Minkoff fan. In fact, looking back on past RM posts I’ve written, almost all of them are positive. I’ve recently been obsessing over the Easy Rider Date Clutch. I mean, I’ve been obsessing over it so much that I am shocked that I haven’t bought it yet. Perhaps that is something I should put on my “to-do list”. For those of you who liked that clutch but are in the market for something a bit bigger, Rebecca Minkoff has something for you. (more…)
Eeeks. This is bag and its name is kind of an oxymoron. And, I’m not talking a good oxymoron like white chocolate either. I want to like this Hype bag, but I would certainly not classify it as a large hobo. Would you? Well the size of the bag itself is large, but I cannot get over the short shoulder strap – it’s so anti large hobo. (more…)
Alright, I am in the mood to be honest today. So, Amanda, when you read this, don’t hate me too much. I don’t always like Valentino bags. I guess, for me, some bags are just too feminine. In fact, I almost end up laughing a bit to myself when I read one of Amanda’s glowing Valentino reviews because everything she is saying is spot on, yet, I still can’t get myself to see the light.
However, today, well today is a very different story my friends. I am looking at so many things I typically would stay away from but today, I am gravitating towards. (more…)
There is something beyond clutch-worthy about this Tory Burch creation yet there is also something that screams “no way” all at once. “How can that be?” you ask. Let me paint a picture… with words. (more…)
When I was a little girl, I always loved going to visit my grandma and grandpa. Their house was always filled with wonderful smells, lots of love and plenty of fun things for little girls to play with. My grandma held onto several handbags she and her girls owned and there was one I’ve never forgotten about. It was a straw bag with really exquisite detailing. In fact, this bag very much reminds me of the bag I just described. So, I am not sure if that is why I like it or if there is something else about this Anya Hindmarch creation that intrigues me. (more…)
So, you may or may not know that I’ve been on an ongoing search for the perfect wallet. Megs rocks a great Louis Vuitton Zip Wallet that I’ve had my eye on for some time, but I haven’t gone out and bought something similar quite yet. I can see myself adding that wallet to my collection at some point, but I feel like I’ve been holding out for something else. And you know what? This Linea Pelle Alex Corset Wallet might just be what I’ve been holding out for. (more…)
Now, isn’t this just super cute? I am confident many of you out there are familiar with the big necklace hit in the 80’s: best friends necklaces. You better *know* that I had one. It wasn’t anything expensive, but I totally gave part to my friend Sara and I wore the other half. I was, like, super cool. I am pretty sure it didn’t take long for the chain to break, but luckily that wasn’t a sign of Sara and I growing apart, in fact, we are friends still today – years and many moves later.
For the longest time I associated Chloé with shoulder bags. It took me a while to realize that Chloé also really knows how to make exquisite clutches. Maybe that was a bit close-minded of me. But hey, I’ve realized the error of my way and I now expect all sorts of fabulous bags from Chloé, not just what I was originally accustom to.
My opinion began to change when I saw Amanda’s review of the Chloé Leather Bow Clutch last fall and continued recently with Megs’ review of the Chloé Iris Strass Chrochet Clutch. So, I’ve been keeping my eye out for more amazing creations and have found yet another one I really enjoy. (more…)
