If you’ve perused the Bergdorf Goodman site in the last couple of weeks, you may have come across one of this season’s latest handbag trends: New neutrals. I’m a huge proponent of earthy-inspired colors, and I’ve waited a long time for them to make an official comeback.
I’m happy to say I think the day has finally come—at least Bergdorf Goodman thinks so, and that’s good enough for me.
White, khaki, and taupe, oh my! The resurgence of neutrals in springtime is also quite interesting to me. I’m not trend tracker, but I know enough to recognize this time of year is usually associated with a pastel overload. I’m all for an occasional baby blue or blush bag, but I definitely think investing in a neutral-colored purse is a smarter buy.
[sc_ic_ad1]Though most of my collection is black (I know, I know), I’d definitely be open to adding a few neutral leather goods to the pack. Currently, I’m eyeing the Loeffler Randall Mini Flavia Hard Case Top-Handle Bag. It’s small, affordable, and elegant. I also think it would serve as the perfect companion to brunch or a rooftop party. (Summer, please hurry up.)
Another eye-catcher is the Oscar de la Renta Tropical Print Silk & Leather Chain Crossbody Bag. I know it’s a step up from a traditional neutral, but I find myself gravitating toward the yellow, gold, green, and brown accents. I’m definitely not spending upward of $3,000 on anything right now, let alone a bag. But a gal can appreciate from a distance, right?
