The Salsa air is poorly constructed and feels cheap, it doesn’t even represent the reason why Rimowa even exists, which is high quality and sturdy luggage. Classic flight or limbo would be a much better carry-on

I agree. I have luggage from the Salsa Deluxe Hybrid line (I really like having the soft pockets on the front of the bag) and the pieces seem much better made. I’m glad I bought them a few years ago — around 2013 Rimowa had a major price jump. My full-sized SDH suitcase (bought in December 2011) cost less than this carry-on.

  • I love that this includes two of my favorite brands, Rimowa and Lipault. I use Rimowa for my large checked-in suitcase and Lipault for my carry-ons – I have three purple Lipaults (yes, I have a luggage problem. It’s an occupational hazard.).

I think the genius pack ones are pretty cool, here’s a carry on, $238: http://www.geniuspack.com/products/new-22-carry-on

The Lipault is beautifully designed and represents exceptional value for money
