I thought Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring for us this year. He was wrong and/or the joke is on us. This morning I awoke to snow-covered buildings and tonight the temperature continues to steadily drop. I’m keeping my mind on the tropics in order to stay mentally warm.

Growing up in Florida we had a lemon and lime tree in our yard and these fruits always remind me of bright sunshine-y days. When I first spotted the Stella McCartney Fruit-Print Falabella Tote, my mind went to my childhood backyard and I was happy. But then I took another glance at the bag and wondered who would ever carry it.

We can’t say Stella McCartney doesn’t know how to add a little fun to her bags, because this is not the first Falabella Tote that has a spring theme printed on it (remember the floral version?). From botanical to floral, Stella continues to remind us that spring and summer are knocking at our door, even if Mother Nature disagrees. Buy via Neiman Marcus for $1,265.

If Stella McCartney can get people to pop $1265 on this, then more power to her. I like her clothing line, but not this bag. Just not up my alley at all.

The first thought that popped into my winter weary head-It looks like a tea cozy! Sorry Stella, just being honest.

…really, really ugly……..looks like a $8 reusable bag you’d see a Florida retiree carrying to the grocery store.

OMG! I was thinking the same thing, it looks like a resusable bag for like groceries.

I actually don’t mind this bag, but the straps just look uncomfortable to carry it with especially for the size of the bag and the amount of stuff you could probably fit in it..

It’s official – Stella’s lost her groove! This bag is a hot mess!

  • somethingbags

    tacky tacky…

This actually looks like a dish towel that my grandmother has in her house. She uses it to dry the dishes.
So, for me, it would be a big no.
And to be honest, I didn’t like the whole Stella McCartney Spring 2011 line. The print is just horrible.

  • 19yearslater

This is just as bad as the flower version.

  • edoardo

High price for the coolest print of thsi spring, wow!|

  • Cathy Fitz

    Looks like my grandmother’s tablecloth.

That is a lot of money for a bag whose appeal will wear off quickly. The novelty will wear off before the pain of paying that much money for a not-leather bag!

  • Staci

    I’m not a fan of this one…

The only way I’d use this bag is to go fruit-picking.
