Tory Burch Is SO Back, and This Bag Proves It

You'll want to give the Romy Hobo a second look...

Tory Burch Romy Hobo Tiramisu

If you think Tory Burch and immediately visions of logo medallions, stuffy cardigans, and sensible preppiness are dancing in your head, think again. Burch and her team have completely, and I mean completely, changed the game, and if you look back at where it all began, this should come as no surprise.

In its heyday, the brand revolutionized the contemporary market, filling a need for sleek, cult-wanted pieces at an accessible price point. All these years later, Tory Burch is having a major renaissance.

At a time when most designer items have become entirely inaccessible, Tory Burch is back to fill a need in the market once again, and it just keeps getting better and better.

A Sleek New Look

While the brand’s iconic logos and brand signatures still exist, Tory Burch has tapped back into its fashion side. It all began with the massively popular Pierced Mule, which catapulted to ubiquity and even landed on the Lyst index’s top 10 most-wanted products of Q3 2023.

Ever a strong businesswoman, Tory Burch, of course, finally made a handbag version of the popular product, which is launching soon (more on that later). While we wait, we’re looking at another sleek new carryall from Tory Burch, which is (quite literally) begging us to take a second look.

The Details: Tory Burch Romy Hobo

Sophisticated and chic, joining Tory Bruch’s Romy family of bags is the Romy Hobo. While the rest of the Romy family is defined by a cinched opening, the Romy Hobo feels entirely new, offering an elevated, luxe appeal at a contemporary price point.

Dare we say it, but the Romy Hobo is giving off the quiet luxury vibes of The Row or Toteme at a fraction of the price.

Arriving for Spring 2025, the Romy Hobo comes in two sizes—small and classic. Both sizes are defined by a distinct, exaggerated shoulder strap finished with the same gold logo button that defines the other shapes in the Romy family.

A great bag for every day, both sizes offer ample interior space, with the larger size ideal for those who need to carry a laptop or other miscellany. Offered in black, white, and a light brown called Tiramisu, the prices are $348 and $498.

I’ve always loved Tory and I hate I saw this after I bought the Coach Brooklyn. I much prefer this and it kind of reminds me of the LV Low Key.

I just bought the large hobo a couple of weeks ago, and loving it. It has just enough structure but not too much. It looks relaxed, but doesn’t fall apart when you set it down. About 10 days in on the carry, and loving it so far. Like the minimal hardware, too, and the leather is thick enough to not show every edge and corner of the contents in my bag.

I’m loving the Romy line! I recently got the small Romy tote in tan & I love it. I was thinking about getting the large Romy tote but now I’m thinking maybe I should get the hobo instead.

More than a little bit like the LV low key!

I have the small Romy tote and love it. I carried for six weeks. This bag is way too big for my liking, but I am eyeing the Romy bucket bag. Tory Burch did good with this line.
