Shop all new bags at NETAPORTER.COM

You know how I know it is Monday? When I wake up and check Net-A-Porter.com, new bags have arrived to their virtual storefront. And the group of new arrivals this week has me especially excited. A lot of Christian Louboutin bags with a sprinkling of Victoria Beckham and Miu Miu bags, the new arrivals let us know that dressing for fall and winter is in full force now.

Victoria Beckham continues to reel in her fans with simple refined designs. My vote this week goes to her bags and the lovely Lanvin that has landed as well. Which bags do you love?

I know you come to us to see the latest and greatest in the designer handbag world, but sometimes there are trends that simply do not work and are so ugly that they are asking to be called out. For this fall and winter season, many designers brought both real and faux fur to their collections. The bad news is, most of the renditions fell short of our fashionable expectations.

I have compiled six of the worst fur bags for fall, because a what the hell were they thinking post is the perfect midweek pick-me-up. Sit back, sip your coffee, avoid other necessities in your life, and laugh at these atrocities. (more…)

To all of my fellow NYC peeps, I am sorry you are literally stuck in feet of snow. I hear a bit of it has kind of melted though. I started to feel guilty when I was complaining of the mid-50-degree and sunny weather we are having in South Florida, while you all are trapped indoors. And then I saw resort bags are on their way out and I started to suffer from seasonal-confusion. But get ready for resort bags, whether you are stuck in your house from the blizzard or not. With resort bags come resort materials, like linen.

Miu Miu is one of the first brands to release a linen bag for the upcoming resort time, and I must admit upon first glance I found the Miu Miu Fringed Linen Tote to be sort of juvenile. I expect the heart tag dangling from a gold chain from a brand like Juicy Couture, but not Miu Miu. (more…)

Suede, I have a serious love hate relationship with you. The soft texture always lures me in and completely reminds me of fall and winter. And I am a girl who truly loves fall and winter. But then there is the problem with upkeep and cleaning. Because of its texture and open pores, suede both gets dirty and absorbs liquids quickly and easily. A darker suede color like brown is a good choice, since it will not show wear or dirt as quickly as lighter suede colors. And because I have a thing for chocolate (the food and color), this Miu Miu bag is calling my name.

I rarely find myself drawn to chocolate brown bags, but the Miu Miu Horn-Strap Suede Tote is worth a gander. (more…)

As much as fringe handbags continue to come in style and then back in style, I am always sitting on the fence between strongly disliking them and having a slight bit of curiosity towards them. Sure, some designers are able to create a much more subdued fringe bag, while others are all about fringe coming from every orifice of the bag and dragging down to the floor. I prefer the first option: fringe within reason. And you know who may have created fringe within reason fairly well? Miu Miu.

After seeing the Miu Miu Leather Fringe Hobo Bag pop up on Monday at Net A Porter, a few of you expressed your love of the bag. To be honest it was not the first bag that caught my eye, but I took a second look and can understand the fascination with the bag. (more…)

Last night I asked our Twitter followers what bag or designer they would like to see us feature. Twitter user Fashion_Hawk suggested this Miu Miu Clutch. This was easy to say yes to, because I already eyed this clutch and already planned on writing about it.

The Miu Miu Bird Suede and Python Clutch is a welcomed surprise from Miu Miu and designer purses in general. We continue to see the same designs over and over. And for a site that reviews bags all day long, it takes additional measures to grab our attention, be it good or bad. In the case of this Miu Miu bag, I say it is good. (more…)

We have a combo on our hands. A pairing together from the Miu Miu Black Lambskin Tote and the Miu Miu Studded Leather Clutch brings us the Miu Miu Studded Shoulder Bag. And what do we think of this shoulder bag? Too much going on.

There is this corset yet Western feel with the weaving detail with large rivets on the sides. I must admit I have never remembered myself liking a weaving through rivets on a bag, especially when it looks as if this weaving is holding every side together. Then there are studs, lots of them. And this amount of studs and the joining of silver and gold different shaped embellishments I really liked on the simple black Miu Miu clutch. But on the tan leather larger Miu Miu Studded Shoulder Bag I can not see the studs as anything other than too much. (more…)

Miu Miu Large Woven Leather Tote

I have always had a thing for Miu Miu. Call it a crush or maybe something stronger. To this day I do not own a Miu Miu bag, but I always seem to find one that I like. As much as I want to like the Miu Miu Large Woven Leather Tote, I simply find it to be more of an odd pairing of imitations of other bags. The woven leather channels Bottega Veneta and the buckle at the top to adjust models a horrid Hermes knockoff. I am not attempting to say that Miu Miu is knocking off Bottega Veneta or Hermes, I am simply pointing out the similarities. (more…)

Miu Miu Studded Leather Clutch

I love that studs will be seen on many handbags for fall and winter. This is a trend that when done right gives that perfect touch, a bit of a rocker edge. I have been attempting to figure out my studded bag purchase for fall, not even sure where I am leaning right now. But for those of you that are not feeling a large studded bag, a studded clutch will bring the punch. Silver and gold stud embellishments adorn the Miu Miu Studded Leather Clutch. One of my pet peeves is when a designer only puts studs on one side of a clutch, leaving the backside bear and lonely. This clutch does not leave you stud-less on either side. It is simple yet fun and has an internal pocket. I am digging it! Buy through Net A Porter for $750.
