Not only has the L.A.M.B. Etoile Hobo been carried on Gossip Girl recently, but it’s also been seen on the arm of L.A.M.B. founder Gwen Stefani for months on end now. As such, we’re pleased to inform you that several color combinations have finally hit stores as part of the brand’s Holiday 2010 collection.

This bag has probably been more highly anticipated than any other in the young brand’s handbag history, and with good reason – it neatly refines L.A.M.B.’s sometimes erratic point of view into something that is totally wearable while still being edgy and different from the average black hobo. I see what L.A.M.B. was trying to do here, I think. I’d say they only got about halfway there, but at least they appear to have tried to go somewhere with it. I’d rather a designer have a vision and poorly execute it than have no vision at all.

And I think that that’s the central problem with the L.A.M.B. Mixed Media Satchel – it has a dream, but the end result does not live up to it. (more…)
