Fall Bags

Change is rough. Most people resist it, but when it comes to seasonal shifts, there’s not really any dodging the fact that you’re going to have to make some wardrobe changes in the next six …

It’s been a while since a L.A.M.B. bag has motivated me to write a post; most of the brand’s followers seem to dig the patterned, youthful totes and satchels that the brand turns out on a near-constant basis, but I’ve always felt like after you’ve seen one of them, you’ve seen them all, and they’re either your thing or they’re not.

I could see the L.A.M.B. Brunswick Honey Satchel appealing to a much wider audience, mostly because it looks like the kind of handbag a teenagers or a grown woman could carry with ease. Minus the random black shoulder strap, naturally. (more…)

Ok, so for the most part, it seems as though most people either love or hate L.A.M.B. handbags. While there is always some sort of divide when it comes to handbag likes and dislikes, I feel as though for the most part, L.A.M.B. really speaks to a very unique crowd. As a L.A.M.B. lover, you have to embrace loud, out there, in your face handbags. True, I’ve come across a few that aren’t as out there as others, but generally speaking, L.A.M.B. bags are very, very noticeable.

And while I’ve already covered the L.A.M.B. Haughton Clutch before, my eyes were a bit at ease when I came across this version today. Unlike the first version that I covered, this one uses much more subdued colors which I imagine will appeal to a larger crowd. (more…)

Are you perhaps sick of toting around a hundred-pound handbag made heavy by all the super-trendy studs? Maybe you never liked studs to begin with, and you’d like to make fun of their ubiquity. Either way, you’ll probably find the L.A.M.B. Freestyle Coventry Pyramid Tote quite amusing.

Instead of being a heavy leather tote covered with even heavier metal studs, this is a nylon bag whose material is printed with the images of lots of different types of studs. It’s a fun optical illusion and it made me giggle a little bit, and it’s not all that often that a bag makes me laugh. I’m not sure if a humorous bag is worthy of my hard-earned cash, however. That said, it is pretty functional and good for a rainy day…help me decide, after the jump. (more…)

Wait a tick. THIS is a L.A.M.B. handbag? No way. I mean, is there anyone out there reading this who would have guessed L.A.M.B. as soon as you saw it? Ok, looking a bit more closely, there are design elements that I can see are very L.A.M.B.-esque, but still overall, there is no way I would have guessed it right off the bat. (more…)

After Kate Moss was seen carrying it, it didn’t take long for the Derek Lam Elsa Leather Clutch to become trendy piece for models, starlets and those that aspire to be like them. And why shouldn’t it be trendy? I was skeptical at first, but in regular leather this little clutch is modern and fun. Don’t want to shell out almost $800 for it? We’ve got an option you might like for almost $600 less: the L.A.M.B. Camberley Surrey Clutch. (more…)

It’s been a little while since I reviewed a L.A.M.B. handbag. It’s not done on purpose. In all reality I find myself staring at L.A.M.B. bags on a daily basis. I love watching this brand evolve. The bags aren’t just loud and obnoxious, they are actually wearable.

While the bags are wearable, they still make a very distinct statement. For the most part, you should know that you won’t be carrying a boring black bag. Even when the bag is a bit low key in the L.A.M.B. design world, it still packs quite a punch. (more…)

I am still fighting on heroically in my quest to find an awesome yet appropriately inexpensive mini crossbody bag, and for some reason, I just can’t pull the trigger on any of the ones that I find that I really like. I’ve gotten to be something of a miser with my money lately, for no immediately obvious reason, and I’m having a difficult time swiping my debit card for anything. For something a bit spendy? Forget it?

I will admit, however that the L.A.M.B. Acid Houndstooth Darlington Crossbody gave me pause for more than a moment. What I haven’t yet decided is whether or not I’m a little embarrassed about that. (more…)

Since we’re a blog that’s committed to finding great bags at equally exciting prices, it only makes sense that we alert you to a sale every now and then – today, it’s the L.A.M.B. Ultraviolet Satchel.

This handbag may be a lot of look for some people, but for a girl like me that wears lots of black and grey, sometimes a fluorescent handbag is exactly what your outfit needs. For any one that has doubts, maybe take the plunge: the bright-yellow satchel in my closet garners me more compliments than any other bag in my collection. If you aren’t convinced, it also comes in black and grey. Buy through Nordstrom for $249, reduced from $375.

Earlier this week I wrote about the L.A.M.B. Signature Worthington Satchel in African Argyle. I couldn’t seem to be completely convinced that the bag would work for me, yet I coming across a smaller version of a similar pattern has me much more lured in. (more…)
