Few trends have defined the early 2020s quite like the quiet luxury trend. While the 2010s were largely defined by logos, giving many of us severe logo fatigue, post-pandemic fashion quickly evolved to be all about the less is more sentiment.
The principle behind the quiet luxury trend makes a lot of sense. Easily explained, quiet luxury is a simple, more intentional approach to dressing, meant to transcend trends and last for years. The problem with quiet luxury is that the price is truly anything but.
While The Row’s Margaux Bag was one of the most-wanted shapes of 2023, the brand’s other silhouettes quickly became more popular, too. Suddenly, The Row was not so quiet anymore. Still, most of us can’t afford (or simply don’t want to) to spend four figures on a minimalist handbag.

Enter: St. Agni
Chic Minimalism Direct from Australia
Founded in Byron Bay, Australia, by Lara and Matt Fells, St. Agni was built on the idea of creating a modern uniform—chic pieces that are meant to last. Contemporary and cool, with a hint of simplicity, St. Agni’s bags echo the same sentiment, defined by clean lines and luxe materials. Each shape offers a unique combination of timelessness and modern relevance.
The bonus? They won’t break the bank.
90s Chic
St. Agni’s bags have been in my orbit, mainly because I always find myself drawn to its clothing, which is simple but still chic. While I knew the brand made bags as well, it wasn’t until I saw the new 90s Petit Shoulder Bag that I instantly gave them a second look.

It’s everything I love in a bag, small in size, slim-profiled, and the ideal bag for days (or nights) out when you want to carry a lighter load. If the Row’s Half Moon Bag and 90s Bag had a baby, this would be it. The leather looks soft, smushy and luxe, and I had sticker shock (in the best way) when I saw that it only cost $210.
True to its name, the 90s bag is petite, which I love, but the brand also offers an array of bags covering all bases. There are haul-all workhorses like the Minimal Everyday Bag and on-trend shapes perfect for grabbing and going, like the Crescent Bag and the Soft Arc Bag. Take a look at some of our favorites below and drop a comment if you’ve experienced St. Agni’s bags IRL!

For a Loewe fan the St. Agni drawstring pouch reminds me of a bag, although perhaps with different types of leather. Anyway, I think they are very nice bags and at very competitive prices.
It’s probably better quality than Loewe bags.
I don’t think so…
definitely a dupe of the flamenco purse!!
Do be careful with the brand’s refund / exchange policy (no refunds on sale items). I will say, their customer service was EXCEPTIONAL when I had an issue with an order and I really would recommend the brand.
I hadn’t heard of this brand but will definitely give them a look!
