About a month ago, you helped me decide on my new pretty pink Givenchy bag. It is my first Givenchy bag, and while my collection of bags is fairly sizable, I recognize that there are brands I’m lacking. It isn’t always because of want, but I guess I just never get to the place of pulling the trigger and find other brands that I like.

I own quite a few Celine bags, actually I kind of went on a spree and seemed to keep buying Celine for two years. Then I moved onto Gucci and have added quite a few Gucci bags to my collection in the past year. But with my new Givenchy, I realized there are other brands I don’t own at all or haven’t purchased in a long time.

I adore Dior bags, the Lady Dior is one of the most stunning classic bags. My lifestyle is a bit more laid back and that is probably why I haven’t taken the Dior plunge, but I do see it in my near future.

Another brand is Fendi. You would think with how much I talk about Fendi bags I’d have a closet filled with 2Jours and 3Jours. I do have a few monster charms, including Karlito, but the last Fendi bag I bought was the Spy. Yep, you read that right and that is so long ago.

What about Goyard? We rarely cover Goyard because finding information is so hard. The brand is secretive but the house has a long history and many are fanatics. I do love their classic tote, it would be a great addition to my collection, that’s for sure.

And another major brand I don’t seem to add to my closet, Louis Vuitton. I am drawn toward the soft leather from the brand, but the prices are rather high and I tend to get sticker shock from the Louis Vuitton bags I love.

Are there brands you love but don’t own?

I love Goyard but I would like to go to Paris to buy one because the only two Goyard-shops in Europe are in Paris and in London. I love Hermes (my favorite? the So-Kelly one) but at the moment is quite a bit expensive (but I definitely think I will one day), the same I can say for Chanel. I love Kate Spade bags but they do not ship to Italy (!!!). I’m going to buy a new bag from Tory Burch (the small york), they are opening next friday in Milan!

Lots of websites that stock Kate Spade bags ship internationally:)

thanks for your kind reply :), can you give me their links?

I too, have been on a Celine and Givenchy lock up 2 years ago and then, there was the Chanel Backpack, before it was Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton. But now i’m really leaning towards a Fendi. I have been enamored by quite a few pieces but none of them seems to make me wanna jump in.. first was the chevron 3jours which was so charming, and the ombre 2jours.. then there was the monster edition 2jours.. and the super cute men’s monster peekaboo… but i think i want the monster backpack… soooo cute! We’ll see though.. coz a contender is also the Valentino rockstud backpack

Fendi and Dior. I love the more classic Fendi designs like the Peekaboo, but something always stops me. And although I love the very ladylike Dior styles, they never feel quite right to me. I tend to buy Chanel and Hermes over and over (I know, poor me); partly it is fear that if I branch out I will make a mistake, whereas I usually pick pretty well for myself from those brands.

      I totally agree with you!

Also, I have been eyeing the LV in the photo (the Capucine) since it came out but can’t quite pull the trigger – I love it, it’s exactly my style, and I think it’s great that you can get it in whatever color you want. But I can’t bring myself to spend that much for LV.

I felt the same way about fendi. In august I purchased the watersnake skin 3jours. I love it! It’s refreshingly different. Most do not know what I’m carrying, but I don’t mind because I know. Would love a monster charm to complete it, but haven’t pulled the trigger.

    Dior & Valentino bags!

The falabella! The holy grail of vegan bag lovers. Btw when are we going to see a feature on designer vegan handbags? Would love to hear your expert views on this topic.

I also love this bag but I can’t bring myself to spend $1,000+ on faux leather!

    • lavinia

That’s the fact with this wonderful bag… is plastic (which they call eco-leather) and for me is worst than leather itself. I like Stella bags but I can’t pay for a luxury leather bag and receive instead a faux one! That’s crazy

I have one its a great beautiful bag but its not worth the money at all ……

  • Jade

Mine is Celine. I don’t know why I can’t seem to commit on getting one.

  • FashionableLena

Believe it or not, I still want a Dior Gaucho bag. I really want a Gucci. They are the only design house that has really caught my eye lately.

Anything Chanel. I love quilted stuff.

  • Kate

I too love the Lady Dior, but it does not fit my casual lifestyle as well. I am loving the Fendi 3jours mini (or the small size) and it is on my radar. Goyard is my secret love. I have a couple of bag, including a boeing 45 and I love that they are so under the radar, expecially where I live.

Fendi 2jours, Givenchy, Prada are on my dream list. I like a simple classic handbag. Not too much in the logo department and a timeless classic that speaks of a simple sophistication. All of these also have colorful handbag options, which I’m all over!

There are lots of brands that I love but yet to own. Olympia Le Tan, Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana, and Charlotte Olympia just to name a few. The problem is is that I have to be selective. Otherwise I would be broke if I bought every purse that I fell in love with at first sight! :)

  • Venessa

Chanel which I’m hoping to add next year if I can keep myself from buying anything else. I’ve always wanted Chanel but I try to keep myself to a certain a budget a year and when I finally do get my Chanel it will only be 1 bag for that year.

    • Marina

I think it’s great to buy one bag you really love once a year, rather than several less expensive one. An investment handbag that makes a statement is the greatest accessory you can buy :).

  • ami

Mine is Tod’s. I was obsessed with a gray D bag earlier this year but couldn’t bring myself to buy it at the time because I already have so many bags. Fendi has caught my eye with the beautiful bags they’ve been releasing recently.

Chanel (Classic flap & boy), Hermes ( Kelly).

  • Suzanne

    Louis Vuitton :(
this is a question for all purse bloggers: I get to pick out one purse for my upcoming graduation present/birthday. It has to be: everyday, but also fancy, with a long chain or strap to be carried on shoulder or crossbody, not too big, classic, and under $2,850. if you have any suggestions please let me know. All I dream of is a nice purse :D

    • Mel

      Fendi 2Jours medium!!

  • Mel

Chanel (especially the Boy) and Celine (bag crush: the Tie tote) are my 2 biggest crushes

  • Cat

Definitely Dior. They are so beautiful and I always love them, maybe for the next purchase. The one hesitation I always have, especially about the Lady, is that maybe it isn’t as functional? Something about the rigid handles, when they hang on the bag, and the placement of the attachable shoulder strap, makes me think twice.

  • Binx Cat

For me it would be a toss up between Hermes and Fendi. Ah, one day…

  • Yanni

Celine and Chanel are my favorite , I have a celine bag already waiting to get a Chanel in the future !!! Really out of my budget :(

  • Marina

I really love Celine’s Phantom and Chloe’s Paraty bag for the effortless chic look. But for sophisticated looks I’d definitely go with Dior’s Diorissimo/Lady Dior or Reed Krakoff’s boxer tote!

  • Joana Richard

Meg I always thought Celine was more expensive then Louis Vuitton…

Well, to be honest I dont dream of having a Hermes, so…. The other bags that I love and dont buy Its not because of the price, but just like you said, maybe the style its so classic and beautifull that my kind of job doesnt allow it ehehehh

I work with the mayor in Lisbon PT, Its a different name that we call it eheheh yes its a job that can allow that kind of closes but I dont dress like a lady, and everyone its used to see me with my Carolina Herrera tote´s, Longchamp Le Pliage´s Totes and my 7 Louis Vuitton, If ever I enter with a Lady from CD Its wold became strange…. :)

Can I ask you to make a post about the new Speedy that Louis Vuitton its making, they change some things :)

  • Minousha

Was planning on getting the Chanel flap in caviar, but suddenly everyone i know has one. Thinking of saving up to get a Birkin. Not sure if I’ll be that lucky though :(
