At this point, you guys know me, and you know that I’m an absolute sucker for a seasonal printed Proenza Schouler PS1. The bag I carry almost every day is a digital blanket-print version from Fall 2011, and every time Proenza makes a beautiful patterned textile and doesn’t do a PS1 version of it, I weep silently. For Spring 2013, I don’t see any PS1 textiles, but I do see something I like even better – printed leather.
The red and black triangle-print version speaks to me most clearly. In addition to being one of my favorite overall color combination, red and black were also my college’s official colors. That this version (and the blue alternative) are lined in leather printed in wires and chains only makes it more unique, and at least in my case, desirable. If you want something even more daring, the graffiti-print PS1 (lined in black leather) might be more your speed, and if you’re a traditionalist, the woven leather PS1 with the classic jacquard lining might be more appropriate.
