I’ve spoken on this before, but I am clearly an example that influencer marketing works on people. And funnily enough, it works on me, a person who is very well-versed in the influencer space and understands the ins and outs of product pushes, marketing, gifting, and advertising. Be that as it may, here I am to tell you that the constant pushing of the Prada Raffia Tote, both in gifting last year and the subsequent organic love many people had for this bag, has worked on me. I feel like I need one of these colorful Prada Raffia Tote Bags (and matching bucket hats).
When Prada first introduced these bags, there was instant fanfare. What many of us saw were well-known influencers carrying the natural hued tote for their summer days and trips and while I knew the bag would have a moment, I didn’t predict it would be as popular as it is a year later. Now there are new colorways, including blue, purple, yellow, black, and white. The bucket hat, a Prada staple in its own right, is reworked in raffia to match this tote bag, and while I typically don’t go for the matchy-matchy look, in this case, I desperately want it.
As I am out seeing more of people’s styles for our #bagsinthewild series on Instagram/Tiktok, I’ve noticed a big movement toward fully monochromatic looks. While I appreciate neutral colorways, there’s something about a bag hue coinciding with the colorful outfit that really stands out. So while you can still opt for the natural (tan) colorway, there are ample colors to choose from as well.

Let’s talk about the Prada Raffia Tote Bag, shall we? The tote is fully crafted from raffia and has a soft, deconstructed design. You can see the loose weave, so any small items inside need to be placed in a pouch, but for me, this bag is ideal for beach getaways. The emblematic Prada triangle logo has been embroidered in black lettering at the center. The handles are also made from raffia but sit over your shoulder nicely. Dimensions are 38 cm H x 3cm L x 36cm W. The price is $1,690.
The Prada Raffia Bucket Hat has the same design qualities as the bag and is available in a wide array of sizes, so pretty much no matter what size your head is, there is the right hat for you. The price is $795.
I just purchased an oversized blue blouse with matching shorts, and so, you’ll find me tracking down the blue version of this tote and hat. I never considered myself a bucket hat girl, but today, I am fully invested in the Prada Raffia Bucket Hat and I hope it will look as good on my head as I imagine it will.
