Throwback Thursday: Sienna Miller Carrying the Prada Trembled Blossoms Bag

Simply obsessed.

For the Spring of 2008, Prada released a collection that would stick in the minds of fashion lovers for years to come. It was colorful, whimsical, full of life, and fun. It was excessive, and in many ways, it was indicative of the fashion of the times.

Miuccia Prada spoke to Vogue Runway about the collection, stating that it was “about trying to find a new creativity,” and that sentiment, which was apparent then, remains to this day. The runway was full of eccentricities like floral embellished heels, fairy-printed silhouettes (and bags), colorful prints layered on top of colorful prints, and more.

As for the bags, they were a colorful blend of deep purples, pinks, reds, bright blues, and oranges. Instantly, attendees and views of the show were transported into the whimsical world of Prada.

The House kept that whimsical vibe going with the release of the Prada Trembled Blossoms Bag, which debuted on the runway and was further explored in an original, animated short film released alongside the collection, titled “Trembled Blossoms.”

A Late 2000s Icon

That bag is one of those bags for me that lives rent-free in my head, and every once in a while, I come across it on a resale site and feel that familiar pang of late Y2K nostalgia. Before social media, fashion “cores,” overly-styled celebs, and well…adulthood.

A time when life was simple.

Recently, when searching for images of boho it-girl Sienna Miller on our photo agency platform, I stopped dead in my tracks when I felt that same familiar pang of longing for another time.

There it was, The Prada Trembled Blossoms bag, dangling on the arm of Sienna Miller as she strolled through London with her dogs in early 2008. Her look was completed by skinny jeans, embellished moto boots by the brand Kentucky’s Western, and an oversized scarf, of course.

There aren’t many of the bag available to find right now, and the last sale seems to be the one below from Fashionphile. Maybe one day soon I’ll come across it again and decide to make it mine. Until then, I’ll be here obsessing over Sienna Miller and her Prada Trembled Blossoms Bag.
