Cult-favorite Parisian Leather goods and accessories brand Polène is one we cannot seem to get enough of, and we’re not alone. In the eight years since its founding, Polène’s growth has shown no signs of slowing, and with its ever-expanding range of bags (not to mention new product categories), it’s a bag brand we keep coming back to.
With stores in Paris, New York, and Tokyo, the brand’s bags have become more accessible to experience in person, and it’s then that the brand’s attention to craft and detail comes to life. What the brand stands for at its core is really what you get, and that craftsmanship becomes incredibly apparent the minute you see the bags up close.
New and Noteworthy
Polène continues to explore new shapes and silhouettes, further refining its craft and offering stylish but functional pieces. If there’s one thing that remains with each new design, it’s Polène’s use of beautifully textured leather, which is folded in intricate new ways with the Mokki bag.
Crafted of textured leather that is soft and supple, the brand’s attention to detail and technique takes center stage this Spring with the new Mokki bag, which just launched today.
The Mokki showcases the art of folding leather, with the brand’s staple leather paving the way for the smooth leather revealed by the cutouts in each bag’s corner. This unique design shows off the brand’s expert craftsmanship with its topstitched finishing and edge dyes that are meant to emphasize the bag’s shape.
The perfect size for a daily carry with a stylish edge, the Mokki arrives in five neutral colors and retails for $690. When opened the bag reveals a spacious interior with a split compartment. A wide shoulder strap offers versatility as it can be adjusted for crossbody or over-the-shoulder wear.
I do like it but it’s a bit big for me. I hope they release a smaller version in the future. I think they probably will since a lot of their popular bags come in multiple sizes.
Finally a new design to be excited about! A plus is the totally detachable wide leather strap.
I like this bag, but it’s too bulky for my needs. The leather looks stunning, and I like the contrast stitching.
This is beautiful!!!
The design is really beautiful
This particular design is my type of bag.
However, I’ve never been happy with any Polene bag I’ve ordered in the past and have either ended up returning or selling.
I think I’ll need to order and actually see IRL to see if this one is the exception.
I agree with you! I’m not sure why though. I too have purchased a few different Polene bags and none of them do it for me. They do look beautiful in all the pics though 🙂
Artisanal bags made in Ubrique, a region of the South of Spain where more and more luxury leather crafts are made with different brands such as Polene, LV leather goods or JW Anderson.
Have to wonder how heavy this bag actually is. I love the shape and size since I carry around a lot of stuff.
This one has my interest! But I feel like it’s going to be one that I either love, or think I love, but in reality it end up being a disaster for me. I’d be interested in hearing/seeing more about it from non-influencers.
A really interesting bag but I will wait until I’m in Paris and can see and handle it in person before getting out my wallet. I do like the chocolate color a lot.
Sorry to hear people having trouble with online purchases. I have five Polene bags: Numero Un in navy (discontinued color), Numero Deux in black moc croc (discontinued model), Numero Six in Terre de Sienne (discontinued model) and two Noddes. Only the Noddes were ordered online. All of my Polenes have so far been problem free (the Un and Six were bought in 2018); however if I had seen the Nodde in person, I might have skipped ordering it. The bag holds less than I expected and the strap isn’t quite long enough for me to wear comfortably cross-body. I might end up giving those away.
But if the chocolate Mokki is fault-free and as appealing in person as it seems online, it will be a definite buy. An under 1k price tag is also very attractive!
