Perfect Pairs

You’ll Want to Wear These Bag and Shoe Pairs All Summer Long

Perfect pairings for warmer weather ahead...

Depending on where you’re located, warmer weather has either arrived or it’s right around the corner. Here in NYC, we’ve had a few warm days, which has been an amazing reprieve. I’ve been able to enjoy a few sunny walks and an evening or two on my fire escape already. I’ve been living in basics like jeans and tanks or joggers and tees, and my daily walks are dressed up by my accessories. I recently did a big closet clean out and realized that I was in need of some new sandals for the summer. For the time being, I’ve been looking for easy pieces that I can wear now, as well as fun pieces I can wear later. When I shop for almost anything, I imagine how I’d pair it with a handbag. Below I’ve rounded up a few bag/shoe combos that are perfect to wear this summer.

Mansur Gavriel Elegant Bag ($700)

True to its name, the Mansur Gavriel elegant bag is ladylike and tasteful. In white, it is perfect for the warmer months. I’d pair it with Fendi’s fun FF logo slides in pastel pink, which are an understated way to do a logo thanks to the monochromatic hue.

Fendi FF Leather Slides ($790)

Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag ($1,900)

Pastels are huge this spring, and though I’d personally love the padded version of Bottega’s Cassette bag, the regular version is a bit more wearable, as in it’s slightly less trendy and a little more classic. This muted pastel yellow is perfect to wear now and beyond. I’d pair it with Sam Edleman’s loafers in white for an effortlessly chic look.

Sam Edelman Lorraine Loafers ($130)

Saint Laurent Sunset Shoulder Bag ($2,350)

I’ve been looking for a great pair of sporty sandals and these Loeffler Randall leopard ones caught my eye! I recently purchased them and was able to wear them last weekend. They’d pair perfectly with my red croc Sac de Jour, but the YSL Sunset would be a good choice for a hands free, easy summer look too.

Loeffler Randall Maisie Sport Sandals ($195)

Prada Nylon Belt Bag ($750)

Nike’s Blazer low tops are my go-to everyday sneaker. I have them in 3 colors and I’ve been looking to add a mid version to my collection too. I like the fun pop of neon green on these, and I think they’d pair well with a nylon belt bag for a cool, yet sporty walk in the park.

Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Sneaker ($100)

Louis Vuitton Monogram Pochette Marly Bandouliere ($620)

Confession, I’ve already purchased these Birkenstock sandals too! I previously had a pair that lasted me 10 years, and I did not hesitate to replace them. I’m happy that they’re still stylish because they are comfortable and super easy to slide on and off. I’d pair these with my Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette for another sporty, but slightly elevated look. Here, I chose this crossbody instead because I’m in the market for a camera bag and I like that this pick is affordable and in really great shape too.

Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Sandals ($150)

Sophia Webster Laurellie Low Sandals ($315)

In my head, this summer I’d be living my best life on my trip to Portugal. This darling pair would have been perfect for strolling around Lisbon. I’ve been eyeing these sandals for quite some time and now that they are on sale I might have to pull the trigger, even if I’ll only be wearing them for a walk to the coffee shop.
