The Best Bags from And Just Like That… Season 2, Episode 11

Ladies and gentlemen, Samantha Jones is back.

News about the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones in And Just Like That… leaked at the beginning of the summer, and yet, seeing the character in the first few minutes of the season two finale was shocking—in a good way.

Add to it the fact that showrunners just announced the renewal of the series for a third season, and the cameo suddenly becomes even more thrilling. Will Cattrall agree to sign on for more episodes next year? We sure hope so.

Alas, the second season of And Just Like That… has officially wrapped up. We’ve got a few thoughts: Despite the first few episodes, the show seems to have finally found its footing again, reminding many of the strengths of the original Sex and the City.

Style-wise, we were treated, as usual, to eclectic looks, classic ensembles, and memorable diversions from tradition. Overall, we must give it to the costume designers: the ladies and men on And Just Like That… have been bringing on the fashion every episode throughout this summer.

Without further ado, here are the best bags we noticed on the season two finale of And Just Like That…:

Fendi First

Obviously, if she’s going to be back for a very short cameo, she’s going to look her best—and, boy, did Samantha Jones look her best. While sitting in a taxi in London chatting with Carrie and saying a remote goodbye to the latter’s apartment, Samantha wears an orange dress, a metallic jacket, a whole lot of jewelry (including a giant diamond ring that we can’t stop thinking about) and a Fendi First purse in a beautiful green color.

Ariel Clear Silk Clutch Bag by Benedetta Bruzziches

Everyone looks their best at Carrie’s “Last Supper” party, and for good reason: the apartment that the protagonist is leaving behind has been as symbolic of what the series has always represented as the characters themselves. Charlotte, in particular, looks great in an off-the-shoulder floral gown by Markarian, which she pairs with an oh-so-cool clear silk clutch by Benedetta Bruzziches. We’re used to seeing Charlotte carry more classic bags, but this is a departure from the usual that we are certainly fond of.

Miranda’s Mystery Bag

Miranda is another standout at the “Last Supper” party. She first shows up in what appears to be a metallic dress that perfectly complements a pair of burgundy earrings and a mysterious shoulder bag of the same color that we searched high and low for but were unable to ID. Turns out, though, it was just a (gorgeous!) jacket covering a red dress by Roksanda that accentuates the actress’ figure and looks even better with the accessories she chose. The ensemble clearly functions as a fashion statement: Miranda is back on her game following the beginning of the season, which was mostly defined by her overall lack of style.

Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Tote

Although we would have preferred for the last scene of the season to have taken place in New York, given the show’s entire reliance on the Big Apple, we were delighted to be able to catch Carrie’s and Seema’s Greece looks on the beach. The latter’s Saint Laurent tote in particular caught our attention: it is exactly what we would imagine the character to carry while on a summer trip around Europe.
