While some brands rely on their ubiquity and distinctly recognizable logos, others prefer to be characterized by their understated elegance and excellence in quality and craft, and Loro Piana is the perfect example of this.
A symbol of quiet luxury and expert Italian craft for generations, in the 2020s, Loro Piana has emerged from the shadows, gaining a loyal following while keeping true to its core values and foundations.
Year after year and season after season, Loro Piana has redefined its offerings, expanding its core categories as demand from its loyal clientele grows.
A Legacy of Quiet Luxury and Craft
This expansion includes a foray into the world of handbags—handbags the Loro Piana way—think understated and minimal yet elegant and expertly crafted. Inspired by Loro Piana’s rich history, bags like the Extra Pocket, Bale bag, Extra Bag, Loom bag, Ghiera Shopper, and Needle bag, embody the Maison’s century-old traditions.
Now, for the first time in the brand’s history, Loro Piana celebrates these signature bags in stunning new campaign images photographed by French photographer Charles Nègre.
Capturing the raw essence of Loro Piana’s textile roots, the images showcase Loro Piana’s icons on a series of sculptures by French artist Alexandre Noll. Noll’s one-of-a-kind designs were chosen as a nod to the attention to raw materials and uniqueness at the core of Loro Piana’s craft.
The Bags Defining Loro Piana Today
Each silhouette featured pays homage to the Maison’s distinct DNA and heritage codes. The Loom bag, a lightweight design perfect for everyday use, is named after the brand’s heritage in weaving, while the understated, yet undeniably chic grab-and-go Bale bag is inspired by its textile heritage and the raw cashmere bundles that are still used to this day.

I love these bags but I’ve stopped supporting them after they report that pay pennies to the wool growers. I don’t support LVMH brands anymore
I guess you don’t support capitalism.
