It’s no secret that motherhood fills you with every emotion at every end of the spectrum from minute to minute. Even on the hardest days where I’m both exhausted and feel like I’m at my limit, when I crawl into bed at night I spend a solid 10 minutes looking at images and videos of my kids smiling and laughing out loud. The love I feel goes deeper and feels more intense than I knew possible and it’s hard to explain to anyone unless they too are a mom. We’re in this wild ride together and though we all parent differently, we all have the goal of our children being happy, healthy, and thriving.
It’s quite obvious that Mother’s Day is about far more than material goods. Of course being told how much I’m appreciated and my kids cuddling with me is beyond plenty, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a little something to make my day feel special. Breakfast in bed while watching cartoons and cuddling as a family sounds glorious. Art from the kids that Vladi has to try to wrangle them and make happen always delights. An arrangement of my favorite flowers looks lovely and makes me feel loved. And if a gift is in the works, this is my list of items I’d be thrilled to be gifted (these are beyond hints Vlad, just saying!).
Most importantly Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! We are in this ride together, and it is wild, unpredictable, gratifying, stressful, and fills us all with more love for these tiny (and not so tiny!) humans we are raising and have raised. It is the hardest job and most rewarding job I’ve ever had and I wouldn’t change it for anything!

I’ve been eying this clear plexiglass Louis Vuitton box for a while. The leather strap on top along with the gold metal hardware pairs really well and this ornamental box can be used to hold jewelry, makeup, or sit next to your bedside and hold trinkets. You could use a scarf to make a makeshift strap and carry it as an evening bag as well. I’d love it on my bedside table and would definitely try it as a bag too.

It’s no secret I have a ton of bags, but a summer refresh of something totally different would be nice. This natural material bag trend is still going strong and I really love how this Prada bag comes together. It’s cool for jeans and a t-shirt or will pair well with summer dresses. There are a bunch of other options at Prada, but this one gets my vote because it’s big enough to hold the items I need it to while also fitting the bill for being fresh and cool.
Gucci Lipstick

Gucci just launched its new lipstick collection and there’s a wide variety of colors and finishes. Included in the colection is Rouge à Lèvres Satin, Rouge à Lèvres Voile, and Baume à Lèvres. This is a great gift because the lipstick holders are beautiful and it’s a little luxury paired with beauty which any mama would love, myself included.
APL TechLoom Phantom Sneakers

I’ve seen a lot of APL sneakers and being a sneaker gal myself, I was excited to try a pair. I love them. Super comfortable and supportive for walking (not sure I’d use them for running or high impact working out, but I don’t do either of those so don’t base this on what I say), these sneakers hold up well and look good as workout gear or everyday shoes. Diptyque Candle

Smells hold such strong memories for all of us, and the Diptyque Baies Candle takes me back to us living in NYC with no kids. I loved my time before kids and really valued that portion of my life where I spent it with Vlad building our business and traveling. I used to light this candle and take a long bath with a face mask on. I haven’t had time for that since having Vaughn, but this scent immediately takes me back to that time. It wasn’t a better time, simply a different chapter of my life (one filled with much more me time and relaxing!). But if you want to gift the mom in your life anything relaxation related, here’s a pro tip – plan a time to take the kids out for a bit so she can truly enjoy with no worries or distractions!
