Maison Goyard remains an anomaly in the designer world. Though it’s hard to believe, even 10 years ago, many of the biggest brands turned away from social media and even their own dot coms to keep the aura of exclusivity and rarity for their brands. Our PurseForum bridged that gap between brands holding information and consumers being able to share it.
However, most brands have come around, with one holdout being Goyard. Sure, it has an Instagram account and website. Still, unlike most of its other premiere luxury counterparts, gathering information on the brand remains challenging even from its own handles.
The newest release, part of Le Jardin Goyard’s theme for 2025, was shown on the official Goyard Instagram, along with a glimpse into a very intricate Goyard Alto Feathers Bag.
Birds of a Feather

As seen on the classic hat-box trunk bag, Goyard further develops this bag with state-of-the-art featherwork, which entails long-passed-down savoir-faire from the house. The goose feathers are hand-assembled with a gradient of subtle purple hues to give off the illusion of a flower blooming.
While the bag itself gathered many thoughts on its beauty, it was the base color that had everyone talking. Goyard is known for the array of colors it offers on its eponymous Goyard print canvas, and this new color is striking. The color is the ideal mix of purple and blue. Iris is the official name, and commenters are begging the Maison to release this color on more bags.
Le Jardin Goyard Iris
The color Iris is being released only on a small batch of products from the Le Jardin Goyard collection. The brand offered a look at three options from the collection where you can find it, and the official Instagram account continues to tease the color.
I am firmly in the ‘make this a permanent color’ camp, so if there were to be a petition, you’d find my name front and center!

Wow this is such a pretty color 🥰 I also looked on their website and the new Fuchsia color they have is gorgeous as well. I would really love if they made the two of these permanent editions! In general, I’m glad Goyard is not afraid of selling colorful products year round and in their core styles. As a huge colors girl I wish more luxury brands would follow suit
Also Happy Valentine’s Day to the Purseblog fam! 😊💖
I love goyard bags! And that blue is gorgeous!
its periwinkle love
I do applaud the colorful offerings from Goyard. I particularly love their smaller-sized bags (mini-alpine and such). For the love of color and chancing upon them while traveling, (no physical store where I live), I bought two bags. On second day of using, the clasp on my mini-alpine came apart spontaneously. I then embarked on a 6-month journey to have it fixed (shipping to NY store and several follow-ups I had to initiate myself) I am now weary of any clasp on any brand. Who knew a little thing we take for granted is so pivotal of the purchase.
I still love the bag because its size and color. Plus now it is fixed! (Smaller Goyards do not appear “plasticky” and allow such pop of color for everyday. ) I just was taken aback by the lengthy service time. It seemed unfathomable.
Ooow, Love the color especially on the Grand Hotel Trunk. so so pretty .
Great color. At this point of crazy prices for primo bags, maybe would be able to buy the scarf 🙂 Will check it out in Europe when I next go.
love that Iris color, just can’t get past that obnoxious design-
Oh, I hope they introduce this color on other bags, such as the Vendome. So pretty!
