Few handbags defined early 2000s fashion as largely as the Baguette, which has cemented its place in both pop culture and modern handbag history. And just as the Baguette helped to define a specific time in fashion, Marc Jacobs too, can be attributed to helping to define Y2K fashion. It’s only natural that two iconic signifiers of simpler times, a time long before TikTok, influencers, and the reining digital age, have come together to create a special collection.
Uniting Fendi icons and silhouettes with the iconic signatures of Marc Jacobs, Fendi by Marc Jacobs explores the storied DNA of Fendi through the modern, Americana lens of Jacobs himself. A longtime friend and mentor to Kim Jones, the Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear at Fendi, this collaboration, though unexpected, is a natural fit.
Nods to the Past
Drawing inspiration from NYC at the time of the millennium, the collection, which includes bags, RTW, and accessories, is a tribute to Fendi icons, specifically the Baguette. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, fans were given a first glimpse of the partnership on the runway back in September alongside the Tiffany and Co collaboration, which launched earlier this year. The capsule collection launched yesterday, just in time for summer, with a variety of lust-worthy pieces that fashion lovers and handbag collectors will love. In addition to the reiterations of the Baguette, Marc Jacobs also gives the classic FENDI ROMA logo his own spin, which appears throughout on bleached white denim, the Fendi Sunshine shopper, new versions of the Fendi First, swimwear, and more.

Fendi by Marc Jacobs is the Collaboration that no one ever needed. All overpriced and unimpressive.
I would pay extra NOT to wear the name “Marc Jacobs.”
The logo is Fendi, the designer is Marc Jacobs who had come up with numerous iconic bags in his prime time with LV. Just to pay “extra” not to wear someone’s name sounds as vain as paying “extra” to wear some company’s logo. It is the design that counts at the end, not the designer and not the logo.
I fixed the headline for y’all!
LOL! Me too. I like Fendi but these look like they came from the clearance section of a Marc Jacobs outlet store.
I like the denim jacket but that’s about it. These prices are insane! I don’t know what else to say.
I love this whole collection. I just wish that I could get them at Marc Jacob’s prices. LOL!
Designed for trust fund babies!
I like it, I want a few of the baguettes. Insane prices.
The white is too white.
