Today is a huge day in the fashion world. Tonight is the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, and this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the CFDA. If you don’t follow the insider scoop on the industry, you might not know about the CFDA, but they are an integral part of American fashion. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association whose invitation-only membership consists of more than 400 of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers. The Fashion Awards show the CFDA hosts is majorly important to the designers of America, and for the first time in its history, this year’s show will be digitally broadcast on Tuesday, June 5th, on Style.com.
