Dressing for a getaway to the mountain has changed drastically in the last few years. Gone are the days of pulling out your old ski pants and pairing them with mismatched outerwear. Ski style has become a fashion statement completely in a league of its own.
Just in time for the holidays, Dior presents its latest capsule collection, specifically geared towards the snow season, and the name says it all. DiorAlps is an alluring ode to cold-weather getaways and the winter magic of the mountains.
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Winter Dream
Inspired by the House’s latest shows and imagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the DiorAlps line sees a selection of items perfect for a trip to the mountain (or just to the ski lodge). The collection explores classic winter aesthetics and offers a sporty yet chic and refined feel.
Ready-to-wear is clearly inspired by functional skiwear and mountainside staples. Metallic ski suits give way to cozy knitwear and sporty-chic Dior Oblique pieces. Packing a punch in style, pieces are fashionable yet functional, combining high-tech with Dior’s distinct DNA.
Furthered explored in this capsule is the Plan de Paris print, which was created as part of the Spring/Summer 2023 collection as a tribute to Paris with roots dating back to the 1950s and Mr. Dior himself. The print makes its way onto puffer jackets and accessories, and of course, the collection also sees the iconic Dior Book Tote in Plan de Paris.
