Dior Celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year With a Limited-Edition Capsule Collection

Pretty and printed, your favorite silhouettes get a makeover

Chinese New Year begins on January 25th, but designers have already started celebrating the occasion with exclusive, and limited edition capsule collections. 2020 celebrates the Year of the Rat, and while some brands may choose to honor the New Year a bit more literally others will celebrate in a less obvious way. Dior is one of those designers, celebrating the Lunar New Year with a capsule collection of bags, accessories and RTW that perfectly marry Chinese culture with Dior’s storied history. House icons such as the Lady Dior, the Saddle Bag, and the, now classic, Book Tote are reimagined in beautiful red tones accented by delicate floral prints. Red is a color of importance to Chinese culture, said to symbolize good fortune and joy, and additionally it was one of Christian Dior’s favorite hues. Prices of the collection range from $370 for a small cardholder to $6,000 for a Medium Lady Dior Bag. Discover the collection now.
