Why Everyone From Elle Fanning to Gen Z’s Coolest Crowd Is Carrying Coach Right Now

From the Tabby to the Brooklyn, Coach’s latest celebrity sightings prove the brand is resonating across generations without losing its edge

There’s always that moment when a brand shifts from being around to being everywhere again, and right now, that moment belongs to Coach.

Not in a forced, overly strategic way, either (granted, there is, of course, a large strategy behind it all). But this feels more real, more authentic, and while there is planning behind it, there is also a huge presence thanks to the people actually getting dressed and picking a bag. And lately, it’s been especially clear when you look at who’s carrying the bags.

Because yes, Coach has Gen Z. But it also has everyone else, and that’s the part that feels harder to pull off.

The Celebrities Making the Case for Coach

Take Elle Fanning, who stepped out with the Coach Tabby 26. It’s the kind of pairing that makes immediate sense: polished, a little nostalgic, but still modern. The Tabby has become a core silhouette for the brand, and on Elle, it pairs unexpectedly well with a light white and floral dress.

Then there’s Storm Reid, who opted for the Coach Tabby 36. Slightly larger, slightly more directional, and a reminder that Coach understands proportion in a way that feels current. On Storm, the bag leans younger and cooler, proving that the same family of bags can flex depending on who’s wearing them.

That range continues with Odessa A’zion, spotted carrying the Coach Brooklyn 39. This one feels entirely different from the Tabby. It’s more relaxed, more effortless, and very much in line with the oversized, slouchy silhouettes that have been dominating lately. The Hobo shape, an often-overlooked silhouette in the bag family, is making a comeback, and Coach has been a major part of that resurgence.

Chloe East Coach Tabby 26

And then you have Chloe East, again bringing it back to the Coach Tabby 26. Seeing the same bag on multiple women, styled completely differently, reinforces what Coach is getting right: consistency without sameness.

Manon Bannerman Coach Tabby 26

Finally, Manon Bannerman, carrying the Coach Tabby 26 at Coachella, feels like the clearest signal of all. If a bag shows up at Coachella and still feels relevant (and not try-hard), you know it’s landed. It’s hard for a brand to have a style that remains relevant for this many seasons in a row, but the Tabby has proven its staying power.

What ties all of this together isn’t just celebrity placement—it’s how natural it feels. Coach isn’t relying on a single “it” bag or a specific audience.

And maybe that’s the bigger story here: Coach hasn’t reinvented itself by abandoning its past. It’s refined it, reshaped it, and made it feel wearable for right now. With the bag market as saturated as it is right now, Coach is making all the right moves, and it’s paying off.

Why? Because they are being gifted to them. Obviously.

They are, of course, but that doesn’t change anything much. I assume they’re gifted dozens of bags a month and they still choose which they want to wear for the sake of their image. They wouldn’t wear something they disliked simply bc it was free

Isn’t this more that there are longstanding business relationships between stylists and fashion companies, and the stylists and celebrities are in contract with the companies to wear the bags on certain occasions?

I think it’s more that Coach’s marketing team has a sharp idea of its target audience and knows exactly which celeb mix represents that.

I think that although Coach does have great marketing and interesting celebrity endorsements the real reason for the huge success is Coach has been absolutely slaying with the sheer variety of amazing styles, quality construction and better price points than other luxury lines. The (Re)Loved initiatives give even more reason to shop there. I hope they can keep this up because it’s perfection for all ages.
