Flashback to over half my life ago, when I would go to the mall with my friends and dream of owning a Coach bag. When I begged my parents for said Coach bag and finally got it, I can arguably say that Coach put me on this path to where I am right now – over 17 years deep into a job that didn’t exist at the time, one that we created. So, when I say that seeing the Coach Demi Bag return brings me immediate joy, I mean the kind of nostalgic, can’t believe this is my life, kind of joy.
Today Coach released a Y2K-inspired campaign that features the reissued Demi Bag, one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes from the early 2000s, being modeled by influencers and models Anajah Hamilton and Gabrielle Richardson. The year was 2003, and you probably had this bag too. You also probably wore head-to-toe Juicy Couture tracksuits, looped a scarf belt thru your denim, and sported some long-length capris.
A Welcomed Blast from the Past
This reimagined Demi bag is back and better than ever, offering a structured silhouette with the ideal amount of slouch, an adjustable strap, and an outside zip pocket. The small, shoulder carry bag still reigns supreme, and this bag checks all those boxes. Though condensed in size, the spacious interior allows for your phone, a small wallet, keys, and other smaller essentials.
As for the materials used, this is classic Coach with the Signature jacquard Coach logo print, crafted from organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles. The leather trim used is created from scraps from the tannery, so this bag is also environmentally conscious in its crafting.

I had 2 but sold one (small hampstead tote multicolor scribble with matching wedges). I still kept the denim tote since i dont have any other denim bag in my collection. Still had the receipt on it dated 2007 gosh im old! Reminiscing now when i was a teenager how i would scroll through the coach website but too bad i couldnt purchase anything because it was only available in the US.
