Exploration of the visual conventions of the American West has been a hallmark of creative director Stuart Vevers's tenure at Coach, and for Coach 1941's Fall 2017 NYFW show, Vevers moved into prairie territory with doctor bag shapes, traditional florals and leather in shades of tan and whiskey. Vlad was there yesterday afternoon to get a glimpse of all the bags the models were toting down the runway, and we have all his pictures below.
For this collection, the bags' traditionalism was less tempered by postmodern eccentricity, and the results were a mostly classic mixture of totes, doctor-style satchels in several sizes and little frame bags with kisslock closures. Many were dotted with small, sparse prints that included dinosaurs and muscle cars, which provided a balancing note of humor to the otherwise serious looks. Check them all out below.
